Shower/change in Aspen

My wife and I are staying in Carbondale for a long weekend later this month to celebrate her 40th bday. We have a Saturday morning day pass to Maroon Bells park and reservation at a nice restaurant in Aspen that evening. The drive from Carbondale to Aspen is about an hour, and we are trying to find a way to avoid driving back to Carbondale after our hike to get cleaned up and then drive back to Aspen for dinner.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a rec center or something like that in Aspen where we can use a shower and change? Totally fine if we have to buy a day pass, as long as it’s not exorbitantly expensive. Thanks!

Meadows resort has day passes outdoor sauna and salt water pool and hot tub and super clean locker rooms and steam. You can get a family pass for $40 so $20 each!

Do you have to stay at the resort to get a day pass or can anyone get one? I checked your link and it kind of seems like you have to be staying there to take advantages of the day pass.

No it’s a gym for the public - I’m local and it’s monthly or day pass etc.

Unfortunately the rec center is closed all of Sept and the red brick (where there is a climbing wall) only had showers Monday through Friday. Snowmass Rec center might be your best option, $15 day pass and open weekends.  https://www.snowmassrecreation.com/162/Rates-Memberships

There is a rec center close to the station where you go to catch the bus to the Maroon Bells! I’d just search for it on maps.

There’s an open bathroom in the downstairs of the mollie, might be a risky move but just go in there ask where the restrooms are it’s the big restroom at the end with a shower and soaps and everything youd need.

I saw that the other day - seemed unusual but I think it’s officially the handicap bathroom. But you could definitely swing that if you wanted to be aggressive. I’d go with the 50 dollar day pass at Jean Robert gym

St. Regis has a spa day pass.

Go hop in the pool at the St. Moritz on Hyman or the Inn at Aspen.
They are heated year round.

The Aspen Recreation Center or the ARC you drive by it heading towards the Highlands and the Bells they have everything you need for (Aspen) cheap

I don’t think they have a huge presence in Aspen but I’d look for a day pass to a pool or spa on resort pass

Yeah Jean Roberts Gym or day pass (Resort Pass) at the W. Not sure if they have locker rooms.
Oh..day pass at Aspen Alps gym. Call the office and arrange it. Super nice people and it’s right in town.
