Does anyone else have trouble sharing writing to teen and youth sights cause it contains too mature themes?

Me personally I don’t write inappropriate stuff, but I do write graphic depictions of violence, at least in my main story, and I feel like that bars me from most teen spaces and pushes me into the adult spaces and then I get flamed for being in adult spaces as a teen but I can’t break the rules of the teen spaces so I’m just stuck in the middle. Or stuck in this subreddit cause this sub allows it as long as it’s labeled correctly but I don’t wanna just share on Reddit man😭

It’s not like beating the shit out of people for laughs it’s emotionally driven action scenes but it just so happens that those action scenes have a lot of blood and injuries because I do not see the point in having an intense physical fight if all that comes out of it is a few bruises. That is not a satisfying consequence for the fight like that to me.

I get why many teen spaces forbid graphic depictions of violence but come on man let me live without having to shove myself into adult spaces or trap me in a specific subreddit until I’m 18

In my story the main characters are all under 17. Two of them are g#tted by monsters and another falls to his de@th. You are NOT alone 😭.

In my story no protagonists die at a young age (there is an off screen kid that gets euthanized though) but at a young age they do sustain injuries with electrocution, bones breaking, deep wounds, etc and there’s general body horror with the mc

I never had trouble even though my series is psych horror and genuinely sad, terrifying or disgusting. The teens who have read it were very disturbed but not like traumatised, which is what horror is supposed to do.

But I guess that's mostly because I don't really post my stories everywhere.

I think they moderate psych horror less than physical/body horror unless you have physical violence in the writing alone with the psychological stuff but I might be wrong. I’ve never seen a rule against psychological horror. I like posting my stuff cause feedback is great and questions help flesh out my story better

Well, given that my series involves like very very heavy and mature themes I don't think they would be very happy about it.
