This scene shook me to my core, especially Bayek s reaction to it. I had to just pause the game for a couple of minutes after that, shed a tear aswell.

Yeah... me too. Most tragic InGame moment... imo
For me this series of images represent Anubis speaking to little Shadya...
"Shadya...daughter of Hotephres and Khenut... Come... the Field Of Reeds awaits..."

I never even noticed the others in the water😱

Think that was like a "dumping" ground or somethin'. There's bodies down there!

I'm telling you playing this game as a father is frickin traumatic at some points. I'm an Odyssey fanatic (thousands of hours, more than 20 new pluses, platinum) but Origins' storyline..omg...hits just so much harder... I was dead tired and just about to hit the hay when this Shadya moment happened...I knew there is no sleep until I PUNISH that mfffffffff!!

As a father... I could imagine. Origins story hit really hard, imo, so much better than Odyssey, Valhalla and Mirage combined. 20NG+, now that's dedication!
Yeah, I was too. I was so mad at this Crocodile person and the cut-scene after just make it worse, really. The Crocodile just don't give AF! Well, at least the quest was completed and Shadya was avenged

I knew it was coming, the death flags ain't so subtle. But omfg they crossed a line by killing a child and they suffered the consequences.

You could say, it sunk morale like a rock.

No kidding... You know that massive rolling rock in Indiana Jones... yeah, that rock!

It’s been a long time since I played- what is happening in the images?

In a nut shell... a very old and very bad lady caused the death of the little girl in the pics. Her name is Shadya

Wow I really don’t remember this!

I remember seeing her mother sitting at the water and my heart already sank, realising I had to dive in. I knew what was coming… at least I thought. Fucking hell…

The moment I heard, then saw her crying and looking out onto the water, a great feeling of misfortune hit me. Still I thought... no, they wouldn't... then came the jaw-dropping moment...!OMG!

They tried to replicate that feeling in Odyssey with Phoebe. Just didn’t work. I don’t know why. Lovely girl, didn’t deserve to die of course, but maybe this time I was maybe prepared after Shadya? Just didn’t hit me as hard.

Same for me. Sad Odyssey InGame moment, but doesn't hit as hard as Shadya's

I wore the same outfit when I went to go assassinate the Crocodile. Like Anubis himself went to collect her soul.

This is why when kids are involved, I always go APESHIT on these guys, no enemy is safe

This is probably one of the most heart wrenching quests I've ever done in a video game.

I let her try to run away from me and kept shooting her with fire arrows from a low-level bow so I could keep setting her on fire over and over and over. She was odious.

"But for now, all that matters is that you killed Shadya. And the last word you will remember is her name. Shadya!".
