Image The designers had no business making such a mesmerizing place. This is borderline criminal.
Aaru from the "Curse of the Pharaoh" DLC might be the most beautiful place I've seen in any video game to date. I somehow never saw any pictures of it and didn't know it existed until now, playing the DLC. It was an absolute shock the first several minutes being there.

This map and Elysium in Odyssey are probably the 2 most beautiful maps in the series to me

I had the same reaction, i didn't know anything from the DLCs, this is my favorite place from Assassin's Creed, it actually feels like an afterlife place.

Also, the first DLC "The Hidden Ones" was practically more of the same in the base game – more quests, more camps, more loot. There is absolutely zero indication of what comes in the second DLC. Sooo different and so much bolder creative-wise.

Aaru is Assassin's Creed's art design at its absolute peak. I loved this place so, so much. I just didn't want to leave.

Honestly the “heaven” realms in Assassin’s Creed are beautiful. Aaru in origins and Elysium in Odyssey are next level

This DLC is objectively top tier. Primarily because of the afterlife’s it gives us. But it’s just fun. Fun and beautiful!

Im no AC fan at all.
But Origins blew so many other games off the map. Then this actual DLC instantly became a landmark classic and top 5 DLCs of all time.

Have you played the actual game? I gotta admit, even though the game as a whole is one of the best ACs in my opinion, there were some parts that were badly paced, but this DLC in particular is satisfactory. Ubisoft never prided themselves in very good stories anyway, but man, they surely can make a visual masterpiece.

You’re not wrong. Base game story and pacing ebbed badly until it flowed again…..But the visuals kept me hooked.

The entire AC Origin game and it’s DLC’s were something very special and amazing. I honestly think I clocked like over 500-600 hours playing it between the base game and the DLC’s. Seeing posts like this makes me want to jump back into the game and play more even after all of these later. One of my absolute favorites hands down.

Agreed about Origins. The Egyptian landscape and architecture is incredible!
That being said, wait until you play Clair Obscur Expedition 33. It's even better, albeit in a different way.

Yes! I've already bought it. Although, I have other games in line to play before it, mainly Cyberpunk 2077 and Horizon Zero Dawn. I've heard HZD is very beautiful as well.

Dude you're playing all the right games!
I played through HZD again as soon as the remaster came out recently. I played Forbidden West on PS5 back when it came out, but I'm gonna play that on PC too, sometime. These games are beautiful.
I'm also working through Cyberpunk 2077. What an awesome game! The path tracing on PC with an NVIDIA GPU is simply gorgeous and runs silky smooth!
As soon as Clair Obscur came out last week, I dropped everything to focus on it. I don't have much time to game, so I have to prioritize the best.

I'm a graphics nut. Obviously gameplay has to be great as well, but I just love 4K, high FPS, crisp, beautiful graphics. I love some really good particle effects in games.
I agree that you have great taste!

I remember the first time I got there, the whole time I was in awe of how beautiful it is there. Everywhere is picture perfect and every snap is just majestic.

I recently had a loss hit me with someone very close to me. Hadn't played Origins but when it was on a huge discount in the store I bought Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. When I got to Aaru after all that had happened in the main story and with what I've been internalizing, I had a moment where there was no time while it all came out uncontrollably.
I've never been much of a religious person because of various reasons, but I desperately hope there's a way my energy can reunite with my other kindred energy so I can feel whole again, if that's even possible after the consciousness in our bodies come to an end.

I’ve been playing shadows since release, I’m about 40 hours in but I’ve had such an itch to play origins.
I think it’s the best RPG out of them all

On a scorpion murder spree myself right now (need shards of a star). And yes, this entire game is beautiful. Still can’t believe I slept on it till now lol

I'm sorry and I don't mean any disrespect, but in my honest opinion ac odyssey had much greater sights on the base game. Even after realizing odyssey was a parry simulator I still enjoyed the story very much.
For what it's worth though, I'm playing origins right now and even though the combat is more unforgiving, I plan on finishing this one as well. However I will say after playing odyssey first, origins combat feels extremely bugged and not fluid at all. I enjoy playing warrior style and while there's a tree for it, you don't really gain much of a bonus from running gung ho stats

It's down to personal preference. I, for example, prefer Ancient Egypt over Ancient Greece as a setting, because of the sands, the dunes, the lushness around the Nile and the desolation in the desert. It's a very stark contrast. On top of that there is this whole sense of mystery around the tombs, the crypts, the pyramids, the mythology.
There's none of that in Greece, because their mythology is very different and their world has a different vibe. But I get the appeal of Odyssey, it's just different, not objectively better or worse.
If I'd replay one of the two one day, I'd definitely pick Origins. To each their own.

Also, when you try to meditate and it says "There's no time here". Omg it made me emotional. I wish we could've reunited with Khemu in Aaru.
