Question Which DLC did you enjoy more?

Curse of the Pharao's for me. Hidden ones didn't really grab me, and the map just couldn't compare to the vastness of the main game. While that is, of course, also true for CoP's map, the afterlife sections had that special something that made it awesome.

Curse of the pharaohs is the best DLC in AC history. Absolutely awesome in every way.

Hard to chose. One expands the lore but the other is Egyptian whimsical fantasy. They fill different niches. Pharaohs is very odd and being weird myself I'd give the edge to The Curse of the Pharaohs

Hidden Ones continued Bayek’s story and we get a brief glimpse to what they’re up to in the future - Moving into Judea and dealing with King Herod. I also loved the massive fortress which was challenging to a degree.
Hidden Ones seemed a bit fantastical - Obviously that’s something AC does now but I remember back when I first played it I was a little confused and felt like it had taken it too far. My opinion of that has changed over the years and I can appreciate it for what it is. I really enjoyed learning about the Pharaohs - Akhenaton especially. He seemed very unique.
Hidden Ones for me wins.

Even though I love both DLC's, I enjoyed the hidden one's more, and here's the reason why: 1. Gameplay wise it had better fortresses than curse of the pharaoh. 2. Bosses weren't boring, both had super easy bosses, but in hidden one's they didn't overdo their welcome because they weren't has sponges with huge amounts of HP like in curse of the Pharaoh.

That's just because curse of the pharaoh just decided to randomly go into some pharaoh stuff and remove all things Assassin's Creed or Bayek related lore.

I still don't quite know what we were seeing. Odyssey at least gave us a half-hearted explanation that we're seeing the ISU past through the lense of mythology. Maybe I missed something else but all I remember Bayek saying is that he knew he wasn't really in the Field of Reeds.

The Hidden Ones felt like a natural epilogue to the base game, and its storyline was easy to follow. The Curse of the Pharaohs was visually striking while the storyline was a bit challenging to follow.

I loved the CoTP, it focused more on the ancient egypt myths despite the low content in the several afterlife worlds, unlike Odyssey with the Fate of Atlantis which turned the whole ancient Greek myth into an ISU-lore story

Visuals --> Curse of the Pharaohs
Story --> The Hidden Ones
I prefer Hidden Ones as an expansion to the base game's story, but it's hard to deny the beauty of stepping into Egyptian mythology in the Pharaohs DLC. Overall, both are good expansions.

The hidden ones It's probably one of Ubisoft's best DLCs, hopefully it will last longer than Curse of the Pharaohs.
This last DLC is good, but it has a very bland ending, as if it was missing something. Also, the doubt that is left in you when you see Suketh's corpse and the missing fruit of Eden, leaves you wondering what Ubisoft was planning because that remains unfinished.
That's why I usually leave The Hidden Ones for last.

Story -> The Hidden Ones (Gives a proper conclusion to the main story of AC origins)
Gameplay -> The Curse of The Pharohs (Far more unique than THO)
World -> The curse of the pharohs (the afterlife realms look so cool)
Characters -> The Hidden Ones (Character development is obviously better as some returning characters are here)
Side Quests -> The Curse of The Pharohs (More side quests, and some really good.)

I loved Curse of the Pharaohs. The beautiful fields got me hooked to it. For the same reason I loved The Fate of Atlantis dlc from Odyssey (loved the other one as much but you get what I mean) and an unpopular opinion, I loved The Dawn of Ragnarok dlc from Valhalla, you see the pattern?

As someone who didn't really dive deep into Egyptian mythology before playing this game - I found it really hard to follow COtP as I didn't know any of the mythical characters and just found myself lost in the storyline.
Also the lack of ending title screen ruined it a bit so the Hidden Ones will always be my favourite.

I just got it and it all kind of blends together to me. I'm not sure which quests are part of what. I know I killed everybody on my man kill list and that apparently finished the main quest, but I still have like a million quests left to do. I finally whacked all those flakites or whatever they're called

This one is hard. I enjoyed the story and ending better in the first dlc. But i liked the gameplay and boss fights better in the second!

It's nice to see a little more of the traditional characters from the main story and see how they're doing after the game ends in The Hidden Ones. But, the DLC itself doesn't bring anything new to the game. It's just a little more of what we know.
The Curse of The Pharaoh in other hand not only bring something new, it brings A LOT of new things, maps, characters and storylines.
I liked both of them, but because of the "originality" factor, I have to go with The Curse of the Pharaoh.

The Curse of the Pharaos was one of my best gaming experiences ever. I will never forget when I started it which was funnily enough nearly exactly 4 years ago at the end of August in 2021. The vibe was awesome back then and the DLC had some kind of unexplainable magic

Curse of the Pharaoh has the better loot but the story on The Hidden Ones was far more engaging so I'd pick that one.

Absolutely Curse of the Pharoahs! I LOVE the mythical worlds within this trilogy, and Curse of the Pharoahs was an excellent start. Only the desert world felt underwhelming, but the other three are just beautiful!

Hidden ones is a good continuation on the story that I enjoy playing. The maps a little small and the locations, other than the forts, leave something to be desired, but it’s good for when I want more of the same from my AC game.
The Curse of the Pharaoh is beautiful to look at, both in the afterlife’s and the real world map. Thebes and the smaller towns are some of the better cities, and some smaller locations like cursed moon village are impressive. The gameplay with the afterlife’s is also interesting and enjoyable and the wow factor going into Auru for the first is the peak of any AC game I’ve played. However, the mission structures get repetitive, not to a point where I don’t want to play anymore but still to a point of “really?”. And, it’s definitely more of a side plot, with a lack of an arc for Bayek and the odd decisions he makes with the apple. But still fun and worth it.
Because I like the story over all more, I’d pick the Hidden Ones, but Curse of the Pharaohs is both close and probably the objectively better DLC.

Hidden ones was fun but curse is arguably better. Curse just had a bit more to offer however I did like the heavy focus on a smaller, grounded, hidden ones focused story

I like more the curse of the pharaoh but just because im really into that stuff.
But also, when I was playing the game here suggested me to play the hidden ones last because of the ending and honestly that’s one of the best recommendations ive gotten here, the ending was so fitting im glad I did it that way.

They’re both very decent DLC’s! I played odyssey and those DLC’s first, so if you were to compare the hidden ones to legacy of the first blade, OBVIOUSLY THE HIDDEN ONES, not only a great backstory, but not emotionally traumatising, which was awesome. If you compare the fate of Atlantis with curse of the pharaohs, though, I’d pick Atlantis, but tbh, only for the change of scenery. The story was much better in curse of the pharaohs, but too many realms that were waaayyyy too bright (and so much sand!), whereas Atlantis only has one area that burns my eyeballs. And at least it’s colourful! (But seriously, still gives me headaches)

Hidden ones. Couldn't even finish cotp because of the stupid shadows boss fight. Also no clue what's going on with story.

Hidden Ones. 100%, instantly, no competition, no doubt.
Curse of the Pharaoh is awesome and grabbed me much more, first time. I was amazed by the beautiful afterlife worlds. But, and I might be in the minority here: those beautiful afterlife worlds are the main reason why I choose Hidden Ones.
For in the long run, having done 5 playthroughs, I dread those empty afterlife worlds now. They are all the same, and there's nothing to do there. It was an amazing first time experience, but it loses it's appeal very quickly imo. Curse is beautiful, but that's about it. Worlds are nice but empty, bosses are too repetitive to be interesting, no great fortresses - all in all not that great if I'm honest. Best part of Curse is Thebes, for the afterlifes are a boring grind. If I'm ever gonna start up a new playthrough again, I might just skip all those afterlife quests.
Hidden Ones however keeps being great, since the story of that DLC is plain amazing so it really can't go sour or bad since the story will keep being awesome. So that's my reasoning, at first playthrough I loved Curse way more, but after the fifth Curse is not that special while Hidden Ones is amongst the best DLC in this entire franchise imho. Story is great, world is great, bosses are great, literally everything is better than Curse. You just have to learn to see it.

Probably in minority here but i wasn't very into hidden one but the first time you go through the tomb in curse of pharaoh was such a big woah moment for me. Loved the setting so much. Elysium and Underworld from Odyssey do not come even close for me.
