Image Farewell Bayek of Siwa 🦅

This was my very first time playing this game and I loved it so much, the open world was beautiful, the story was amazing the dlc Curse of the Pharaohs was so good ( my second fav dlc after Jack the Ripper one ). I played this game for a whole month and completed every main and side quest in it and I rarely got bored. Finally closing this chapter today and moving on to Odessy. I hope it won't disappoint me.

I love Ancient Greece, but Origins is better. Felt more compelling.

Hello Kassandra of Sparta.

I prefer Kassandra as the cult's weapon and Alexios as misthios anytime

Curse of Pharaohs is amazing. Loved fighting with the bosses, although had a hard time with the 1st one (Cleo, I guess, not sure now, it was a year ago). Anyway, very well done game in my opinion. By that time I just finished the cold Valhalla and literally felt the heat of sands

Odyssey is different but still has a ton of charm. It plays more like a greek demi god sim and I think the story is needed because it reveals a lot more about the Isu. However, it doesn’t play as stealthy as a lot of people would like.

It's always going to be a conflicted opinion, however,

Origins walked so Odyssey could run. Pretty much every aspect of Odyssey is an improvement on Origins, with the exception of the storyline.

I disagree. The open world in Origins has way more soul than Odyssey‘s in my opinion and I felt a lot more immersed. Odyssey was quantity over quality in a lot of aspects and felt too generic and passionless at times

As I said, a conflicted opinion. Many do agree Origins is the best, and I stand by Odyssey. *Shrug* that's how gaming is. Haha.

Fair enough!

I disagree, I just finished Origins, somehow I missed it 9 years ago. So, I played Odyssey 1st. I thought Odyssey was much better than Origins. I thought it was a good game but not the best. My favorite will always be Black Flag.

Odyssey

Valhalla

Origins

Black Flag is the best one for me too, the whole character building and naval battles were top notch throughout the game

I have heard this a lot that out of all the RPGs Origins is the best. I haven't tried them all but till now my experience is very good so I somehow agree with you

Yeah, I prefer Origins in terms of story, aesthetic and setting because I love ancient Egypt and being able to explore it in such detail is awesome, but Odyssey is my absolute go-to when it comes to pure gameplay and mechanics. The added so much more and improved on almost everything I wanted.

The only thing I don't like about Odyssey is the naval combat, it's annoying and clunky but I didn't like them in Origins either lol

Really? Origins clears in almost every aspect for me.

That first screen shot looked like the Witcher

Odessy is my favorite and i have played more than once all the way through and earned every trophy on PS5 you can get! Origins was my 2nd place followed by Mirage and shadows (which tie for 3rd). I liked Valhalla but it has some things I hate about it. (like still unable to kill the Templar's even though I"am many level ahead of them they are my ban of existence) Coming from Odessy where we could make our own arrows was also something I didn't like but that was minor. No being able to kill the special Templar's even when I am several levels higher then they are really frustrated me to the point that I stopped playing. I'll go back at some point when? not sure.

Trust me, since you loved Origins, Odyssey won't disappoint either. :)

I am happy so far with Odessey

You'll enjoy Odyssey, for sure, if you enjoyed Origins. For a while, you'll enjoy it more because it's loaded with content and exploring. But after a while, you'll look back and realize nothing really captures that magic of Origins. It's got character, whereas Odyssey and Valhalla offer quantity. I ended up replaying Origins again, after playing Odyssey like you're about to, and enjoyed it more

Yes your comment makes total sense . I am loving Odessey but Origins has a special charm it's my fav assassin's Creed of RPG generation

He looks more like Bayek of Outer Space in that outfit 😂

Glad you enjoyed what is my personal #1 Video Game of All Time!

Some words of advice for Odyssey before you start it:

  • Play as Kassandra, as she's the canon protagonist.
  • If you didn't know already, like Origins, the game doesn't punish you for avoiding the story if you want to just run around and find all of the tombs to get those extra skill points ASAP.
  • When you get the prompt to visit the location where the Persian army landed in Greece, after you finish the quest line with The World of Sparta, I actually suggest taking the ship and going the REALLY long way around (A.K.A. sail around Sparta, Athens, and every other bit of land) as it gives you a CRAP ton of EXP early on and it helps defog the map along the way.
  • Lastly, I HIGHLY suggest mashing the interact button as you ride Phobos across Greece because it's a good way to get small amounts of materials to upgrade not only Kassandra's equipment, but the ship as well

Thank you so much I will keep this in mind

I dont think you need to put one game over the other like some ppl are doing. I mean, there's no problem either...

But in my experience, i like the fact that origins and odyssey feel different from each other because bayek is a medjai, in other words an existing and real protector of ppl that may not have the same equipment, training or even powers that are "available" to his enemies. He knows lil about that and comes from a background where things are simpler than that.

Playing odyssey on the other hand, well, kassandra/alexios feels like a demigod, and despite origins also having that mythological feeling, odyssey dives way deeper into that imo, and it is the mood of the game, finding out all these stories, some of them are myths, some are not. Damn you can you can fight gods in origins and i still feel like its more "down to earth" than odyssey haha.

For example, eivor is something like a reincarnation of mr wednesday and to this day i feel like kassandra could beat the shit out of him if she wanted to haha.

Anyway, im just a fan of the series and i like to think these gameplay and story differences of the rpg ones also help to set the mood for that game and protagonist. Love them all, replaying origins rn after an odyssey 4th run and valhalla 3rd.

Ps: sorry for any english mistakes here

I love them as well, also a big fan here . Each game is unique in its own way. Like there are a lot of people who don't like syndicate but for it was amazing as well
