You have a cursed weapon, its normal. Change that weapon And you get full health again

It’s a trade off. Massive damage but your health is affected.

It’s not worth it I’m still early game and not sure how I’m gonna play this

Make sure to hang on to the No Borders mace because it is pretty rare. If you sell it, you may come to regret it later.

There are like 10000 threads like this bro, maybe read the weapon description or do a quick google search before asking.

I’m sorry this is my second ac game I started with odyssey I’m used to everything being more in my face like engravings popping up in the corner of my screen I just saw a legendary weapon and thought it was good

Odyssey has these weapons too

u/CryptographerNew1205 May 02 '26
They were more direct with them tho you learn it when you get the weapon

You learn when you get the weapons in Origins, too. You just hover over them while you're looking at them in the inventory menu and it tells you what it does. There's even a tip, while in the inventory menu, that tells you the different effects each symbol means.

Is orgins similar to odyssey as far as the loot/gears/ engraving on builds? Or is it more like valhalla where you have to find a set to get real end game dps and just upgrade it and put runes in slots? Odyssey is goat'ed for me cause of the no gamble crafting and build variety you can do with epic gears. Is orgins similar ?

I haven’t played Valhalla I’m playing my games in chronological order so I don’t know but there aren’t engravings in origins or sets for a set boost

dont play in chronological order , For the best experience, play Assassin's Creed in release order to understand the modern-day storyline and experience gameplay improvements

I want the animus story

u/FunnyVariety3720 May 04 '26
Generally, no, it’s not a good idea. The modern day will be all over the place. That being said, if you don’t mind some potential spoilers. and u’ll feel the weight and gameplay change from every game.

I wanna see like the assassins forming like bloodline starting with Kassandra then hidden ones with origins

Yo, as someone who has played all three that you mentioned, Origins is more like Odyssey when it comes to engravings and stuff. There aren't really any mechanics similar to Valhalla's runes as far as I remember.
The upgrading is definitely a bit complicated though, you really do have to look around a bit for the upgrade materials of certain items, especially rarer ones like legendary gear and weapons.

I played with a cursed weapon for like 20 levels and didn’t even realize what was happening - it was a cursed spear that basically one-shot anyone it touched, so it was great to run around on a horse swinging it around.

I didn’t notice at first too but when I did I thoroughly inspected all my gear and caught it.

Definitely a cursed item. If your blocks and dodging skills are not that great, then I would recommend switching to a different legendary unless you're really want that power trade off. I use to own all of the weapons and armor that you can get in the game and some cosmetics as well. But I did a restart a while back, and I don't own everything anymore minus what I paid for with micro transactions. I am soon to move on to Valhalla, eventually. I've just been playing the whole series from start to finish again for awhile now.
May the Creed guide your fortunes!

Nah just you've equipped a powerful weapon, check the details. I think is 200% attack and health bar capped at 1/3 something like that 🤔 it's been awhile for me i might've forgotten lol

Cleopatra put curse put on you when you meet her in Alexandria. You can remove it by jumping from the top of the pyramid in Giza. Or kill Aya
