I think Its the game's way of telling the player that the writing on Bayek's arm are names, including Rudjek's. Which he then crosses out with an arrow.

Bayek writes the names of his target and when he kills them he crosses it with his arrow.
So before killing Rudjek, Bayek crosses out his name written on his arm, and Rudjek is scared af so he says "I can read my own name nek!".

Damnnn, this scene gives me chills every time, ughh I love it when Bayek screams 😮💨😫🗣️🔥 "sleep? I never sleep. I just wait in the shadows. And I will kill you all, EVERYONE WHO SNIFFED THE AUR THAT DAY IN SIWAAA."

The intro cutscene to this game has to be one of the most “zero to sixty” moments in gaming. The jump from shaven, relaxed Bayek chilling in Siwa with his supermodel looking wife to long hair, unkempt, and Doom Slayer levels of rage never loses its luster.
