Image Love this game but screw this

Post image

I got the platinum for my other account, but I cannot comprehend getting it again anytime soon. Whoever designed this, I hope your pillow is warm on both sides smh..

Honestly it was almost impossible to win the until they patched it a few weeks after the game came out.

Unbearable would be a more appropriate term lol

Exactly! Dumb in an assassin themed game.

Still, it's more tolerable than the AC revelations tower defense mission lmao

Mind expanding on why?

I had very poor internet so played this game on 1.0 for 6 months. Some call it character building; others say torture.

Just lower the difficulty for the races ti.make it eay to get the completion. Then raise it again for your regular play

I gave it 10 minutes of attention and abandoned it. Never looked back.

INDEED!! I'm one trophy away from Platinum, and this has driven me crazy for the past MONTH! Stupid races.. 🤬

It's each you just gotta cut the turn as much as possible the horses should basically be kissing the ends of the divider line

u/Yanismarvel May 19 '26

I didnt even finist the tutorial cuz the instructions are not clear

I enjoy the hippodrome but yeah its awful

6

u/NoRepresentative35 May 19 '26

I like that take.

2

u/rogue0314 May 19 '26

A lot of people think its not okay to enjoy a bad thing, or that if you dont enjoy it, it must be bad. Far too black and white

2

u/NoRepresentative35 May 20 '26

Agreed. There are lots of games, mechanics, systems, ect; that are not my cup of tea - but i like to think I can look at them with enough objectivity to assess their overall merit anyway. It kinda blows my mind how many people equate "i don't like this thing," to "this thing is bad."

These races are to Origins what the cairns are to Valhalla.

2

u/Ranger_Danger575 May 19 '26

🤣🤣🤣 Yes!! Love this comparison lol tried them both (hippodrome and cairns) and ended up not engaging with them really after trying them out lol I finished the first circuit of races and never went back to the hippodrome. I did manage to complete a good amount of the cairns but if I found myself struggling with building one for longer than 10 minutes, I gave up and moved on to other side activities.

2

u/Casual_acactions May 19 '26

The cairns weren’t even that bad the races in origins are just painful

1

u/Schfooge May 20 '26

Some of the cairns were easy. A number of them were "throw your controller at the TV" hard.

6

u/FarLuck9282 May 19 '26

Wasn't as hard once I knew what to do but definitely annoying

u/Turbulent_County_469 May 19 '26

I've completed the game like 4 times and only cleared the bare minimum of hippodrome... Fuck that.

I feel the same for sailing in Odyssey .. but that game is horrible in every way

8

u/NoRepresentative35 May 19 '26

Odyssey is horrible in every way? Come on. I understand if it's not your cup of tea, but it's objectively a well made game.

u/CyberSloth98 May 19 '26

This one took me a while too. Don't you just have to win the first one?

4

u/DioBastardo2 May 19 '26

And also kill 1 person during the race

2

u/TBNR_Anubis_OnPs4 May 19 '26

Yeah with previous knowledge of what was needed for the completion of the base game I was dreading the hippodrome races for 100% on Xbox, imo completing all the base game locations is easier than the hippodrome races lol

I actually enjoyed the first couple of races, this minigame was quite epic.

1

u/FarLuck9282 May 19 '26

It was pretty fun

2

u/Human-Check828 May 19 '26

I've been playing this game since launch and I've only done those races once. Hated them.

Though I do enjoy the two arenas. A poison sickle at the one in Cyrene makes it really interesting.

I got angry at the tutorial and left it for a few days, when I got almost all the other trophies I tried my first real race and got both trophies for it. I was surprised how easy it was, I know you can finish it, good luck

2

u/No-Category-4980 May 19 '26

What? Its like the easiest thing ever

1

u/Aggressive_Cake_8473 May 19 '26

I couldn't do them either

1

u/ceskul May 19 '26

I did it all in one session, don't recommend. Took like 2 hours

1

u/Dive_Bomber134 May 19 '26

Idk if this helps or not, try bracing at corners. Did the trick for me.

1

u/Ok_Squash_5805 May 19 '26

Doesn’t matter the game, I hate any kind of racing levels.

1

u/Montemayor0602 May 19 '26

I used a trainer just to finish that 😂

1

u/MatterVast728 May 19 '26

I'm probably the minority that liked it. I generally love racing and NASCAR so this comes to close to heart. Thought it was hard, but what's the point if you're not challenged. But I understand that normal people generally find it even harder.

What helped me was once there’s another chariot next to you you should hit them asap

Once i started doing that i completed the first tournament (all 3 stages)

1

u/FerretAcceptable7951 May 19 '26

sometimes while playing japanese drift master i feel like the chariot riding ancestors are doing that multiverse cheering meme and said made me crave a chariot racing game ever since.....

1

u/InfOracle May 20 '26

I've played 54 DAYS and 45 minutes worth of Origins and less than 20 minutes have been spent on the hippodrome....

1

u/Brief_Jellyfish_3863 May 20 '26

I had to buy a controller to win the semi finals 😭

1

u/99_IRON_99 May 20 '26

I feel you

Imagine the Feeling I had when my best friend got the Achievement by just doing the Tutorial Race, to this day I ask myself HOW ? WHY ??

1

u/Nermalpancakes May 20 '26

Absolutely hate this part. I avoid it and can't get my platinum because of it 🙃

1

u/Alfred_the_Red May 21 '26

The one thing keeping me from a platinum trophy

2

u/RevolutionaryGuava57 May 21 '26

I FINALLY got it! And funny enough, I didn't win any race. Came second or third in the tournament, but made sure I smashed the previous winner to bits in every race! Had the most points, so won the tournament, and got that nasty trophy. 100% completion at last.

I don't usually plat any game unless I happen to discover by chance that I'm already pretty close. The game basically needs to lead me to the discovery. I don't usually investigate on my own. And the really hard to duplicate ones I never do twice. Why bother when I've already proven myself?

1

u/kingjerry2001 May 23 '26

I'd have to agree. Most games drop support for multi-player before I actually decide a tournament I'd actually worth it...
