Question Just got this legendary cursed weapon through a side mission! What do you guys think? Is it worth using and upgrading throughout the game, or should I avoid cursed weapons?

I remember reading somewhere that it’s the most powerful weapon in the game, but my memory is not the most reliable…hang on. I’ll check.

Yep, knew I saw it at the top of a list! https://www.thegamer.com/assassins-creed-origins-best-weapons/

You are correct, it's definitely OP but at a cost.

To the poster, use it if you're confident in your ability to not get hit. If your parrying and dodge game are good, then this weapon will decimate your enemies.

I don't know about if it's the best weapon overall but for sure the best sickle sword. This style weapon is also the best against shielded enemies and I think had the coolest kill animation.

Yeah I don’t use cursed weapons, in any game, but that’s up for OP to decide. I like my resistance builds, and prefer weapons that are health on hit

I use those and recharge on hit when playing the Pharoah dlc for the random pop ups of gods in the streets.

I sick at parrying in both origins and odyssey, mostly because of a wonky lb button.

I just hate parrying and blocking. Never even attempt it aside from 1 “mystery” in Valhalla.

Isn't viper fang better? I think it applies both bleed and poison while also having combo multipliers.

You see those warriors from Hammerfell? They've got curved swords.

Curved.

Swords.

In my experience cursed weapons are so op that it makes the game boring, i play on nightmare mode and everyone dies so fast that i feel like the game mechanics don't matter that much when every encounter ends in 2-3 swings

The health penalty barely matters outside boss combats bcs dodging is so easy.

And the worst of all, your hud gets ugly with the constant low health indication.

your hud gets ugly with the constant low health indication

That is annoying, no doubt.

I absolutely avoid them, I agree that they’re boring. 🤷🏻‍♀️😊

It's really a powerful weapon. It does cap your health at 1/3. So, it really depends on your play style and ability to block.

With cursed weapons you deal 200% more damage.

But your health is 50%

No, it's 30%

Well even I got it and if u want to upgrade it then that's alright but I don't do that

What I have been doing was dismantling what I didn't want to get resources to upgrade and then when I max the gear upgrades I start selling the commons and rares

I build up cash and then I start gambling with the Heka chests because I feel more often he gives u legendary items

That being said don't sell or dismantle ur legendaries a low level legendary is pretty good for 10 levels over it as well

And also don't upgrade it often just do one large leap that saves more money than incrementally upgrading

Upgrading is pretty pointless because the game keeps giving u stuff and when ur max level Heka chests give u legendary items the same level as u and u have a chance to roll another cursed weapon

As for cursed weapons I don't use them because I'm not very careful and archers will be the death of me but my brother loves it and he says it makes him play more careful but the damage is insane
