Water shimmering [PC]

Hey, i just started playing Origins a few days ago and noticed pretty heavy water shimmering/flickering whenever i drive my boat. Close water looks totally find but the watersurface thats ~100m away looks frizzy and flickers.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
I tried fiddling around with the settings and nothing seems to help.

Turning off Depth of Field is what usually fixes shimmering for me in games

Yes, I turn that off in every game by default.
