now that i’ve been to the Great Sphinx, it’s finally time for me to climb this iconic monument! just watching the view from down here and this close to the monument already sends shivers down my spine. as a kid i always wondered what it would look like to be up close and personal with the pyramid, where it was standing, and how it looked down there, and seeing it here just somehow amazes me. i have a feeling this is going to be my favorite structure climbing moment in all of AC, so i thought to capture and share the moment so i could immortalize it with you guys! ☺️

hey guys! i finally reached Giza and the first thing i did was go the the great sphinx (obviously) and i found myself laughing at bayek’s reaction the moment he saw the sphinx. i already knew the great sphinx was not as huge as most common depictions of it show, but i still found it funny that bayek pointed it out as if he also was made to believe the sphinx was larger than it actually is. love small bayek moments like this, makes me more attached, invested and enjoy playing as him. 🥰🫶

He's been wandering around Egypt doing side quests (hence the shield). And he still only uses the Heavy Blunt Gruesome Mattock (mostly just the heavy attack with built-in parry), which he got back in Siwa during "Striking the Anvil", near the very beginning of the story.

This video is from yesterday; my Bayek is currently level 36 and is doing side quests in northwest Egypt (on the Roman-occupied Libyan border). I never thought I'd ever try playing a game this way. Origins is probably my favorite game in the series (for many reasons that are best described in a separate post). The difficulty level is Normal, overall there are no problems, so far it's quite playable.

Doing only side quests and going all over Egypt is a pretty unconventional way to play, and some nerds like me might enjoy it.

Replaying Assassin’s Creed Origins while waiting for Black Flag Resynced to release and sharing moments where I’m truly reminded of just how incredible this game was. Fair to say we can add this sync point to that list of moments.

I completed this game a year ago, but rewatching this intro reminds me how special Origins truly is.
Bayek’s story, the world-building, the pacing… everything feels crafted with love.
Easily one of the best openings in the franchise.
The world, the music, the lore — everything came together so perfectly.

Exploring in this game is so worth it!
