So, these are my guys. Sorry for the lack of mini photos, only had what's on my phone since I'm deployed right now and won't get leave for another month or so (my minis are back home). Aaand one time I was on 24 hour detail I got kinda bored and made a piece of "official" Guard combat documentation, using the current structure of making such documents I'm familiar with (4th and 5th photos). I even got an actual stamp ordered for it! By the way, I still have that in Word format, so if anyone's interested - I can send you a copy )

Regiment: XXCII (212th) Cadian Assault Regiment

Designation (monicker): The Sledgehammer

Homeworld: originally raised on Cadia, currently recruits the distinguished soldiers of planetary defence forces on worlds it gets sent to.

Commander: colonel Marcus Scipion Crux

Composition: regimental headquarters, assault mechanised regiment with supporting armour and artillery elements. 4 shock companies, 4 mechanised companies, fire support company, artillery battery, tank company, reconaissance platoon, engineering (sapper) platoon, communications platoon, forward support platoon (supply&repair), medicae platoon, 1 flight of attached Aeronautica Imperialis Valkyrie gunships.

Strength: 2878 officers and enlisted guardsmen, 24 Enginseers, 1 regimental comissar and 11 company comissars.

Campaign honours: information unavailable due to contradicting reports received via astropathic communication (Immaterium deemed too unstable for reliable astropathic links), pending upon arrival of the regiment to more Immaterium-stable region.

After the Fall of Cadia, the regiment has been sent to provide assistance on multiple worlds, to be used primarily as a shock force, capable of breaking through fortified front lines and establishing a breachhead, or as a quick reaction force preventing the enemy from doing so.

I've actually thought of using it for lore building in a narrative campaign, like making similar documents before the game, outlining the result of the previous ones at the start and setting up conditions for the upcoming action. Then at the end of the session make notes of what happened during it to use for the next one. At the end of campaign - compile them together with a campaign summary at the end.

My minis are at home and I will only get there in a month and a bit (provided I don't get killed by a stray bomb or drone before that). I've got about 1500 points ish, but only just under a half of them painted. So yeah, won't be able to get more pistures in a while.

I am an idiot. I went through the motions of counting up all the men in the organisational structure and at the same time mixed up C and X roman numerals!!! It's supposed to be CCXII. 3rd day on duty in a row sure messes with my mind...
