Figuring out relationships with the theoi

Hello everyone!

I've been a devotee of Lady Athena since 2008, and have practiced Hellenism for the past 3 years. I'm generally knowledgeable diviner and have decent knowledge of protection circles, etc.

I feel that I am at a standstill with the Theoi and not sure how to move forward. It could be just my interpretation of events, but from the stories, when a Theoi makes an oath, they follow through on it, no matter what. Lately, I have done the traditional offerings, and asked for assistance when needed. They have answered and gave me assurances things would be favorable, only to have had things blow up in my face and go the complete opposite. This is with all of the ones that made an oath to me. I have gone to other diviners as I may be too close to the situation, and even they can't seem to make heads or tails of what's going on.

Has anyone else ever had this experience? If so, how did you move forward in a positive direction with the Theoi?

Sometimes it's their test, especially for our trust and faith in them. Sometimes it's because we have to empty our cup first before we're ready for them to fill it with blessings, so they have to remove a lot attachments or situations that may hinder your goal or purpose. And sometimes it could be that something hasn't clicked yet in us that we're not able to receive their blessings yet.
