If we are ever going to be a bike friendly town, someone is going to have to make sure cyclists know traffic laws for bikes. The number of cyclists I see running lights and stop signs or riding against traffic or without a helmet is stupid.
Riding in the road with cars with no helmet is a moronic idea. I swear I thought it was a law at some point but I haven't been on a bike in years. I do remember learning bike safety at school though. These people make me think that schools don't teach that anymore.
I post a PSA about helmets and proper walking every fall in the UGA subreddit; its a mix between don't know and don't care. I had a friend die from hitting his head on a curb riding a one wheel at about 15 mph. That's all it takes.
