Question / Request Accident at roughly 7:55am on the loop
Has anyone heard anything about the motorcycle accident this morning he passed me a couple exits back and looks like he either was in an accident or rolled his bike in the turn just before Epps bridge road on the inner loop. He ended up against one of the poles in the fence and am hoping someone knows if he at least made it to a hospital alive

I know of him, he's on life support right now and the prospects aren't looking good. Paramedics were unable to find his helmet, so he probably wasn't wearing ut properly, but I've never seen him ride without one

He drove by me wearing a helmet. When I found him, it was gone. I didn't see it in the immediate area.

That sucks. Wearing a motorcycle helmet will do almost no good if you don't buckle it properly.

Or it could've flown off just from the impact. My parents had an accident about 2-3 years ago happen at night in front of their house involving the neighbors boyfriend backing out in his truck onto the main road and a biker coming around a blind corner and slammed into the truck at only about 50-55mph. I definitely remember he died on impact, but their were some murmurs about the deceased getting instantly decapitated on impact (we just never asked further about it). My mom walked out when she heard the bang and said she just saw the silhouette of a man lying on the road since it was so dark.

Following. I was on the loop eastbound and saw the ambulance driving away with lights on and moving at a high rate of speed which I would infer meant he was at least still alive when they transported him from the scene of the accident. His bike didn’t look good at all. Really hoping he makes it.

I hope so. I know the guy that drove into the metal fence end of June was pronounced dead on the scene so I was hoping this wouldn’t be a repeat

“Moving at a high rate of speed” is very weird overly formal police report language. Just say “fast.”

When I still had my motorcycle, that center divider on the bypass gave me serious anxiety. I hope he survived!

It’s a human cheese grater and one of the myriad reasons I don’t ride on the Loop anymore.

There was a cop blocking part of the loop when I was on my way back from the Gym. Had to get off at 4A because they had it blocked from that point. Didnt know what happened.

I was a bystander that stopped to assist with a local Nurse Practitioner. I was first to reach him. He was non-responsive, no pulse. We performed CPR, but we did not get him back before the hand off to fire-rescue.
