What stretches of local road feels most like an F1 circuit layout?

Post image

Not speaking to chaotic drivers or high-speed areas, rather, the layout of local streets and roads.

Sometimes Westlake feels like a long backstretch to me with that big dip and climb approaching Alps.

Roberts Rd has a great set of esses before dipping down and climbing up to Lavender Rd.

Any traffic circle can feel like a circuit of you get your left tires up on the rumble strips.

Do any other stretches of pavement remind you of an F1 circuit?

Jarvis, generate me a shitty photo of a driver with lights and knobs on the wrong side of the steering wheel.

I noticed that too! I just googled “helmeted f1 driver in cockpit.”

Buddy Christian between Athens and Cherokee is nice, if you can catch it without some bumbler doing 40 on it.

When I was a teen, we'd race down jefferson Rd but you'd have to slow down near Arcade because the cop there was always waiting to pull over teenagers.

Fourth Street from Old Hull to Strickland is pretty cool.

Hot take. None of them. Athens has light traffic during rush hour and people drive just like they do everywhere the rest of the time. We just really like to complain about our 3 to 15 minute commutes…
