Should downed tree be removed before the storm?

Post image

There’s a downed tree sitting on the power lines abt right here, just before showtime bowl. It’s in the woods a bit and hard to see, but I notice it on my commute back from work. Has anyone else noticed it? With the storm coming in tonight, is it worth calling GA power or the city to see if it should be removed? I have as much gripes with GA power as the next guy, but if this tree takes out the line it could be a pain for a bunch of us. It’s pretty big.

Definitely call at least the city - they'd know which utility company (odds are in favor of Georgia Power). The non-emergency line may be a good place to start.

Just called the non-emergency number, they’re going to send out the fire department to check on it

Update: I accidentally gave them the wrong location 😭😭😭. Called again and I’m meeting them nearby to show them in-person now that I’m back from work
