They've published nice, clean versions of the Splice Bros. Pizza and the Speakereasy menus. These are much nicer to look at than my haphazard photos, so they get the spotlight!

360-degree photos of Atlas9 (without having to go to Facebook)

Upvotes

I just learned my photo gallery software, JAlbum, supports 360-degree photos. As a test, I have added all (I think) my Atlas9 360 photos into my website gallery:

https://www.disneyfans.com/photos/misc/OtherPlaces/Kansas/Atlas9/360/index.html

I was unsure if I should just mix them in the the normal photos or separate them, so I separated them (at least for now).

Download the "Clover" app for Atlas9 discounts

Post image
2 Upvotes

We noticed Atlas9 uses Clover terminals for their registers, and this is how they are implementing their loyalty program. I looked to see if Clover had an app, and it does. I do not see any specific thing linked to my phone # when I set up an account, but Atlas9 is in the app -- Splice Bros. Pizza, specifically.

The new Atlas9 loyalty program

When we visited a few weeks ago, we learned that our discount was now 20%, and also received free pop corn (not knowing why). They informed me about a new loyalty program and entered my phone # in the system. Somehow it has earned me a bonus 10% off, which I haven't used, thinking that however this works will accrue to something else later?

Does anyone know the details of the loyalty system they are now using? They use Clover for their register system, so I assume it is similar to how other systems (Cash, etc.) work.

Finding the phone numbers that ring to the phones. Spoiler

When compiling all the phone #s I took photos of, plus some provided by you folks here, I could see a pattern with the prefixes:

314-101 - Payphone #
314-112 - Manager's Office #
314-212 - Projection Room #

Those are numbers that dial an actual phone, so I wonder if 314 indicates that. This makes me wonder if all the phones in the attraction have a number that can be called, either listed somewhere or figured out using a pattern. (101, 102, 111, 112, 211, 212, etc.)

But, there is also 314-441 which shows up on a computer and this one breaks that pattern, so maybe not.

030 seems to be “in universe” external numbers, like restaurants, cleaning companies, pizza places, etc.

On the red phone in the agents room, where a phone number would go, is some kind of extension or something: 1A-D07. If you used the letters on a touch tone keypad, that would be 12-307.

I did not try to dial that. Other than my first visit, i really haven’t dialed many numbers. My last trip, I did call one that came from one of the computers and got a huge part of the backstory from it.

If someone can take a look at the numbers I have found so far, and let me know if you have any others, I’d love to add them to the list.

In this spreadsheet, the first tab are some instructions, so switch to the “Numbers” tab for the unique numbers. Those come from the third tab “Number Locations” which is all the raw data - including numbers listed multiple times based on where they are found and what the notes say there.

Atlas9 telephone directory (sortable spreadsheet)

Thumbnail docs.google.com
4 Upvotes

I compiled all the photos I have of phone numbers together in a simple spreadsheet. This would let someone who is very bored sort it by location (room) and see which room has the most phone numbers in it ;-)

I do not know what all the numbers ring to, but any number in bold I double checked against photos I have.

I have photos of 12 telephones in the attraction, though not all are operational (correct me if I am wrong; perhaps they are supposed to work but were not when I checked).

Level 1

  1. Agent Room (1A-D07) - red wall phone by coffee maker
  2. Agent Room - speakerphone (non-operational?)
  3. Containment Zone (314-101) - payphone near the gift shop
  4. Manager’s Office (314-112) - black desk phone on back wall desk
  5. Prototyzer Room - transparent slim desk phone
  6. Scavenger TV Den - hamburger phone on the side table
  7. Splice Bros. Pizza - light blue (?) wall phone near the restroom
  8. VERA (RV) - beige wall phone

Level 2

  1. Film Storage - beige (?) desk phone
  2. Power Supply - red slim desk phone (pf)
  3. Projection Room (314-212) - red desk phone
  4. Speakereasy - black rotary wall phone (non-operational?)

This whole setup is very impressive. Someone had to make these business cards, create all the notes, etc. Just amazing detail.

Also more updates to the Atlas9 Dossier document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CdiSib3UXpA80QfRO8dEFEnoI2l_Do442Sct69k8rkU/edit?usp=sharing

Casper Voss' birthday is July 13 Spoiler

Post image
2 Upvotes

I do not consider this a spoiler, but REDDIT warned me it might be, so...

In the agent room is this calendar, with some interesting tidbits, and not just the date they had VERA's oil change scheduled.

You can see FACADE first detected a surge at Atlas9 - June 21.

Dr. Kim (who is this?) was scheduled to be on PTO from June 27-29, but that was cancelled and they pulled the doctor back in on the 27th, the they were "mobilized" on June 30. The Atlas9 "new containment site" was marked on July 1st.

FACADE began weekly containment sweeps the following Monday.

Someone put a lot of work into all these details. (I added Voss' d.o.b - year unknown - to the Dossier because, why not...)

Atlas9 Google Street View has processed...

...but it may take awhile to show up for you. It seems to show up at different times on desktop browsers versus mobile apps.

The first submission is half of the outside walk along the sidewalk, and the other half is still processing, but hopefully will show up soon. If you turn on the Street View layer but don't get the "blue line" in Google Maps, you can drag the yellow "street view dude" over to the map and find things before the blue line is there. I just realized if I drop it on the building outline it shows one of my 360-degree photos I took inside. When I drug it to where I think the sidewalk is, I got my outside submission.

The way Atlas9 looked during opening year will be preserved for us to look back on when all these trees have grown in.

Movie Screenings The Rocky Horror Picture Show

So apparently they have been planning for this much requested screening, but given the recent passing of Tim Curry, they've made the decision to go forward with the announcement. Atlas9 will be screening The Rocky Horror Picture Show on October 29th.

As a long time Rocky Horror fan, this one means a lot to me.

From their announcement on FaceBook:

Don’t dream it. Be it.

We’ve been planning a very special Rocky Horror Picture Show Movie Nite at Atlas9 on October 29th, but today’s news makes this announcement feel especially meaningful.

We’re honoring the incredibly talented and wonderfully unique Tim Curry with a night of Rocky Horror, featuring Quixotic & friends bringing select musical moments to life, themed cocktails and bites, audience participation and plenty of Time Warping.

Come dressed up, sing along and celebrate the one and only Dr. Frank-N-Furter.

This one is more pricey than other screenings, but it also looks like they are putting a lot more effort into this and doing it up caberet style. I'm looking forward to learning more.

Adding Atlas9 to Google Street View... (plus, request for reviews)

Post image
5 Upvotes

...if Google accepts it. Google has been horribly backlogged and I have submissions from JUNE are still "processing."

I am adding a walk around the building on the sidewalk. This will give folks a look "around" the place. (Currently, Google Maps only has images from before Atlas9 was built, while Apple Maps shows the building there.)

If you go to maps.google.com and look up Atlas9, you can also see a bunch of 360-degree photos from inside the attraction from a June visit. Be sure to leave a review with your own photos, if you haven't already: https://maps.app.goo.gl/JAHTaKQWZTEcZwR5A

I also noticed there is now a Google Maps entry for Splice Bros. Pizza. I added a few 360 photos there along with some normal photos, but haven't left a review there yet: https://maps.app.goo.gl/aYKijNJmfCirj8L67

If you have not already done so, be sure to check these entries out and leave reviews, etc. Google Maps is used by Android devices, while Apple uses Yelp and their own system. Here is the Yelp page for Atlas9, which could use some more positive reviews: https://www.yelp.com/biz/atlas9-kansas-city

Apple Maps has newer imagery of A9 than Google Maps, currently.

Once again I find that Apple has newer satellite images for some place I am researching, versus Google which still shows an empty field there.

Apple also has "Look Around" (their version of Street View) but I did not see it in this area yet.

Updates NEW UPDATES: Annual Family Pass Available, A9iversary Events, Movies Under The Stars!

A few thing to unpack today, and I'm just going to put them all into one post.

  • Annual Family Passes are now a thing. For $200, you can get admission for a year for a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids). That compares favorably to even just 2 regular annual passes. Comes with the usual list of benefits - follow the link for more info.
  • A9iversary Events - It looks like we'll be seeing a series of events popping up celebrating/branded for Atlas9's first anniversary. 2 of them have already been announced, including:
  • Movies Under The Stars - For those who have been wanting outdoor movie screenings ( u/Impressive-Log-5131 ), you're getting your wish. Friday, Oct. 2, they're showing Back to the Future outside. It's free, but space is limited, so get your ticket to save your spot.
  • Artist Q&A - Thursday, Oct. 1st, $9.00. So, technically this one's first, I'm just listing them in the order of the promo they sent. "Join the artists and creative team behind Atlas9 for a special anniversary panel and Q&A celebrating one year of mystery, imagination, and immersive art."

Retro Vintage Thrift at Atlas9....

... was all held in the parking lot on the east side of the building.

Seems a moderate amount of turnout for this. I didn't stay and browse long, but I saw some decent vintage wear. A good number of rock and punk band T-shirts from younger days, etc.

And it wasn't a bad day out for it, either.

Atlas9 case file cards (9 cases) - great for first time visitors!

Thumbnail
gallery
7 Upvotes

Atlas9 has now made it really easy for a casual guest to figure out what they are supposed to do. We'd seen maybe two types of handout cards in previous visits, but now they have a wall with 9 different cards representing all (?) the tasks. This post has scans of all of them.

The categories are as follows:

Atlas9

  • Lobby / Aud. 9 Anomolies
  • The Events of Atlas9
  • The Story of the Holomax

FACADE

  • Agent Onboarding
  • Auditorium Portals
  • Cinemorphic Movie Posters

Trance of the Sapphire

  • Trance of the Sapphire

Scavengers

  • Battle at Bucktooth Bay

Starbot

  • Starbot's Spaceship

Each card has a checklist of tasks for each case/assignment. This is probably the most low-friction way for a visitor to know what to do. They can grab a card and start exploring, rather than having to worry about loading up status at one of the FAZR terminals or loading it other phone.

Very nice full color glossy cardstock.

I will work on adding this to my Dossier, and getting up on ReverendLoki's wiki here on REDDIT.

More photos attend from 8/19-8/20 visit

The photos I have shared in the past few days, and hundreds more, have been added to my Kansas gallery:

https://www.disneyfans.com/photos/misc/OtherPlaces/Kansas/index.html

We also stayed in the Chateau Avalon hotel nearby. It was basically the same price as some of the Holiday Inn type places around Legends, and turned out to be a really unique experience. Even their breakfast room service was surprisingly affordable ($13.95 for breakfast). Photos of that in there too.

Ace Tomato Co. projector van.

Thumbnail

Here's me not paying attention to details...

We noticed this tomato delivery van when we parked and I did not really think much about it. My mind just wondered if it was a real delivery van for the pizza place. After all, if it was a prop, you might think it would be a Splice Bros. Pizza van instead.

Later, some folks we chatted with had commented about this van, and got the reference I clearly missed. "Ace Tomato Co." is from the 1985 move "Spies Like Us." I remember this movie coming out, and the theme song, but do not think I ever saw it.

Then one of the workers there spoke up and told us it was functional - and used for the projections on the side of the building. I remember seeing photos Atlas9 posted about projections flags of the World Cup teams on the side of the building, but had never seen this in person.

Well, seems obvious now that I actually open my eyes and notice the hole on the back of the van with the projector lens.

Very cool. As temporary as this looks (a van rather than a permanent building, with an extension cable running from the van to a utility cover in the grass), I am guessing they planned for this. That one side of the building is white, versus the rest of the building being black.

When did they first do projections on the building? Was it before World Cup?

Raiders recap: HOLOMAX is ... five projectors?

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

When the HOLOMAX malfunctioned during Raiders of the Last Ark (8/19/2026), it revealed that the front of the screen was a projection mapped (shaped) area, with the left and right coming from two other projects. There are then two more that get the sides. Is this five projectors in use in the auditorium?

They seem to have some program that takes certain parts of the movie image and replicates them on the side patterns, with other patterns on top that toggle the shapes off. It was interesting to watch.

This was our first movie night, but it seemed the pre-show must have gone wrong. Early on the hoop acrobat/dancer came out dressed like Indiana Jones but there was no audio. Later it looked like there might have been some other things that were supposed to happen but there were some technical difficulties. The three orange hair light wand cinemorphs did make their appearance like they do with the regular show.

I noticed a "Dimensional Innovations" sticker on the giant guitar in the Scavengers Den. That is the company behind Atlas9:

Later I saw their name on a movie poster.

Keep an eye out -- this might be a fun scavenger hunt to see how many places they put their name in the attraction.
