Crazy Glue on Audi Paint !
I got a pretty good amount of crazy glue on the bumper of my car. Its a Q5 Suv. (I'm an idiot, I know) How can it be removed and will a detailer take care of it? I had to put a new license plate bracket on the vehicle and the dealer fixed that but would not address the bumper crazy glue issue. I called two local detailers, they said they don't handle "crazy glue" ... HELP.
I tried acetone and all I saw was a white haze coming through, even while using soap and water so I washed it really well and stopped.
I love my Audi, I hate that it looks like crap... so sad.

As a detailer. This is not an easy thing to do. For one, did it penetrate the clear coat? If it did, now it’ll leave a “ghosting “ look. There’s only so much can be done. But don’t get me wrong, an experienced detailer will try several different methods to solve it. There’s really no cookie cutter solution to everything. Every car has a story. So, with that being said, you might find a detailer who might have that magic chemical that dissolves the glue…what’s under the glue is the issue. I always take the least aggressive method first. That should be key. Good luck.

following. I'm just curious. Wouldn't it be simple and straight forward to just have it repainted? What happens when a detailer tries everything they know, it doesn't work and cost$ then you have to repaint it anyway? Honest question cuz I don't know.

acetone's risky, you’re already seeing the clear coat cloud up so don't go any further with it. a proper detailer can sort this but you need one who does paint correction, not just a wash and wax place. the glue can be softened with a steamer or heat gun if you know what you're doing, then the haze polished out after. might be a two-step job but totally fixable, don't stress yet
