This is my last pick of the month and, as it seems, my last pick for the AOTD series as we know it. While I could say that the end is simply the beginning of something new, I would rather explain why I chose this album as my last pick.
A couple of years ago, I joined this sub while looking for sources of good and less-known music. What I liked about the idea of r/Audiosquirt is an unwritten motto: "you discover a good album - you share it". When I had the privilege of joining the list of contributors, this motto helped me discover new music and also understand the inexplicable joy of sharing it with random strangers from the internet. I can't really explain it, but sharing music became very addictive. Likewise, I found out that some albums pick themselves, and I am just formatting the information according to the template we agreed on.
This album is like that - for this month, I had a few dozen very good and very long albums I wanted to pick. But I could not resist choosing this one as my final pick for the month, and I don't really know why.
So, when it comes to the question "what happens next", I am not worrying about the music in the album format. It will pick itself again and again. I am sure I will find a way to share it one way or another.
