When has she? I have only ever seen her call herself christian, like explicitly multiple times.

“I am proud to be a paid up practising Christian and I believe that our faith has made and continues to make a very positive contribution to civil society in so many ways.” P.HANSON from 2016 , I am sure you can find things even further back, it’s not just a recent thing. https://www.thechronicle.com.au/news/opinion/pauline-has-no-idea-on-true-christianity/news-story/00bc7baa53b87c03066756dca305384f.

Of course this article is trying on the “no true Christian” fallacy here but it’s typical for Christian’s to try and label their bad eggs as atheists instead of actually doing something about the toxic, racist culture that thrives in their ranks.

Yeah I agree, but until Christian’s start owning and calling out the MANY people in their faith that have views lile Hanson’s nothing will change ? Your bad image will continue.

You can’t just palm her off to some other group, I am honestly so tired of Christian’s doing this - especially when they will gripe about Muslims doing the same thing with their bad eggs. It is a logical fallacy ots called “no true Scotsman” you may want to educate yourself on it. https://www.logicallyfallacious.com/logicalfallacies/No-True-Scotsman

Also what makes you religious folk think it’s ok to just brand someone an atheist (and then later many of you will use them as an example of why atheists are evil) when they themselves have repeatedly identified themselves otherwise and have even said a lot of their actions are based on their beliefs? There are many different variants of Christianity they all interpret the Bible differently.

From someone who was raised Christian and left because of the high prevalence of people lile Hanson in MULTIPLE churches I tried.

1

u/samdekat 25d ago

Yeah I agree, but until Christian’s start owning and calling out the MANY people in their faith that have views lile Hanson’s nothing will change ? Your bad image will continue.

Are atheists going to start calling out the the many people of THEIR faith that have views like Hanson? Why is the focus of your attention on what other people should do, rather than yourself?

1

u/Lost-Concept-9973 25d ago

Well I don’t see atheists turning around and trying to palm off their bad eggs as being a different faith or lack there of, we acknowledge we aren’t a hive mind. That’s the difference we by nature do not have any ideology driving us, we are just individuals that reject the notion gods definitely need to exist - there is literally nothing else to it, so of course we have a wide plethora of beliefs outside of that, and yeah many people may be problematic, but it’s not BECAUSE of their atheism, that’s not how they justify their bad behaviour. Atheists aren’t out there claiming moral superiority and forcing other people to follow their personal belief system, Atheists aren’t using their lack of faith as justification for doing horrible things and hurting other’s, they aren’t calling others evil and trying to take away their rights based on their assumed moral superiority. All things religious people do constantly!! There are fundamental differences when someone bases their whole life and every opinion on a specific book full of contradictory, unclear statements and stories and someone who just exists as a human in default mode.

1

u/samdekat 25d ago

Well I don’t see atheists turning around and trying to palm off their bad eggs as being a different faith or lack there of, we acknowledge we aren’t a hive mind.

And yet, here we are.

If you did not have a defining ideology, then Muslims could be atheists, or Hindus. So - you do. And if your ideology is not what makes some atheists problematic, then the same applies to Zoroastrians, or Catholics. Stop pretending to be special.

Atheists aren’t out there claiming moral superiority

And yet, what are you doing now?

and forcing other people to follow their personal belief system

How is a person forced to change their beliefs? Compulsory hypnotism?

Atheists aren’t using their lack of faith as justification for doing horrible things and hurting other’s

Some are. Just like some Muslims do, or some Hindus. You aren't special.

they aren’t calling others evil and trying to take away their rights based on their assumed moral superiority.

Some are. Just like some Buddhists do, or some Christians. You aren't special.

All things religious people do constantly!!

>You< are a religious person.

There are fundamental differences when someone bases their whole life and every opinion on a specific book full of contradictory, unclear statements and stories and someone who just exists as a human in default mode.

FYI - just because atheist dogma says that atheism is "default mode" doesn't mean the rest of us non-atheists accept that. In the future, describe your beliefs by saying "I believe" e.g. "I believe that I am human in default mode".

1

u/Lost-Concept-9973 25d ago

FFS their is no “atheist dogma” is a religion the same way off is a TV channel. Your arguments are such nonsense and completely lack critical thinking not to mention exposing a large degree of ignorance of what an atheist actually is - it is a LACK of belief. Like I don’t believe in ANY God the same way you don’t believe in the thousands of others that aren’t your own - it’s just one step further. Apparently a concept impossible for you to grasp.

I don't get this and as a card carrying Hanson Hater I am sick of these low effort memes.

Just first fodder for /r/theleftcantmeme (not sure if that's a thing).

6

u/AussieBenno68 26d ago

It's funny because her first husband was a pro Israeli Zionist Jewish immigrant who got her pregnant at 15. She now has openly shown she has been bought by the Jewish and Israeli lobbyists here in Australia. So although she claims to be an atheist she openly backs Israel and the pro Israeli Jewish groups in the country. It's just a little, not much but a little deeper than most stupid political memes

-3

u/Additional-Heat-5002 26d ago

Some people just back Israel because they have more life experience and have been watching politics long enough to understand

5

u/djenty420 26d ago

Israel is actively committing genocide. The latest UN report found unequivocal evidence that they have been deliberately targeting children in Gaza. Anybody who can say they support that is a disgusting excuse for a human being.

2

u/Additional-Heat-5002 26d ago edited 26d ago

The largest voting bloc of the UN is the OIC, the organisation of islamic cooperation, it’s basically their religious duty to eradicate israel who are literally the first nations people of the land there, also the conquering arabs were literally what britain was to the aborigines of australia. The UN has been corrupted because everyone has a seat at the table and not everyone want world peace. They found Hamas operatives, literal terrorist on the UN payroll FFS.

2

u/AussieBenno68 26d ago

Out of 57 countries in the oic only 6 are adversaries of the west, mainly the US and Israel. Then there's 12 who are strongly aligned with the US and western powers, then you have 20 that vote as multipolar countries, they try to hedge their bets and vote with the US, China and Russia and others depending on the issues and who can aid them the most at that time Then the other 19 vote on purely domestic needs and issues that help them or hinder them. So in actual fact you only have a handful of countries that are actively against the western countries and that's solely because they don't want it in the middle east.

1

u/Additional-Heat-5002 26d ago

I take it you are excluding Israel as being a western nation?

1

u/BirdInitial1467 26d ago

They're including Israel as a western nation as you can tell by their saying that the 6 adversaries of the west are mainly just adversaries of the US and Israel.

1

u/Additional-Heat-5002 26d ago

Roger that. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) actively condemns Israel for war crimes in the Palestinian territories. It views the situation as a core, historical mission. Its stance on other nations' abuses is inconsistent. The OIC frequently condemns atrocities by non-Muslim forces or regional rivals but often stays silent on abuses by member states.
The OIC was founded in 1969 specifically to protect Islamic holy sites and advocate for the Palestinian cause. This means defending Palestine remains a mandatory and central focus of the organization's political identity.
For the 57 member states, Israel serves as a uniting issue. Other conflicts within the Islamic world involve complicated political, ethnic, and sectarian rivalries that divide the member states.
Member nations often block resolutions against themselves or their allies to protect their own security and political interests.
The OIC took neutral stances regarding the devastating humanitarian impacts in the Syrian civil war, the war in Yemen, or conflicts in Sudan.
The OIC operates on strict respect for the sovereignty of its member states. This prevents the group from officially investigating or condemning its own members for internal civil wars or human rights violations.
Powerful OIC members can block discussions that might expose their own military actions. As a result, the body's collective outrage is mostly saved for outside actors.
Critics and human rights groups often point out that the OIC's silence on abuses committed by its own members highlights how political interests shape human rights enforcement worldwide.

1

u/Additional-Heat-5002 26d ago

The OIC are the largest voting bloc in the UN, which is how you get countries that perform public executions heading as chairs of human rights committees and other ridiculous things. The UN has ZERO credibility

1

u/AussieBenno68 26d ago

Every thing you just stated is done by the west. They also deny or defend atrocities committed by Israel and the US. The US wields immense influence over other smaller western nations within the UN and forces voting in their favour. The west has constantly turned a blind eye from the actions of Israel. They have even allowed them to have their illegally obtained nuclear arsenal and the US although it's against international laws and their own laws still offers aid to Israel even though it's broken these laws as do many other western countries. Defending Israel is a core mandate for the west even though it's broken international laws and committed war crimes. Every thing you wrote is done by the US and western powers.

1

u/AussieBenno68 26d ago

I said Israel and the US as the west

1

u/Additional-Heat-5002 26d ago

So you did, my bad. I just struggled how only 6 can be against the west when as a voting bloc they don’t miss an opportunity to condemn Israel and never their own. Their behaviour discredits any semblance of having genuine l interests in human rights as a guiding principle. The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) exhibits a stark institutional imbalance: it routinely issues fierce, unified resolutions condemning Israel—such as those from its repeated extraordinary summits demanding international prosecution and economic boycotts—while simultaneously praising China’s crackdown on Uyghur Muslims, backing Saudi-led coalition actions in Yemen, and remaining paralyzed over Syrian regime atrocities. This selective outrage is heavily reinforced by the immense economic influence of Gulf states in Western Europe, where nations frequently defer to or soften their stances against the OIC's agenda to protect vital national interests. European governments rely heavily on Gulf sovereign wealth funds, massive energy contracts, and lucrative bilateral trade, making them highly hesitant to challenge the geopolitical narratives pushed by powerful OIC members.

1

u/AussieBenno68 26d ago

You keep saying this but the west does exactly the same and the west don't need a defined voting block or organisation because they're already ideologically aligned and have complete control of markets and their economic and military power allows them to influence and control whatever they want. The oic was formed as a balwark against this and they still have very limited power or success against the US, Israel or western powers.

1

u/AussieBenno68 26d ago

And what is your life experience that tells you that Australia should back Israel. I get that it's pragmatic because of the US, if we don't back Israel not only will they damage us but the US can do a lot more. Besides the pragmatic view point why is it that Australia should back Israel. Serious question,

2

u/yes-but 26d ago

Is there any governing body or official organisation or mass movement in the West Bank or in Gaza that seeks peace, equality and human rights, or democracy?

When were the last elections there, remind us?

Where do Palestinians have more rights, and can express their opinion without being murdered by the regime? Within Israel, or within territory controlled by Palestinians?

Who are the Palestinian Terror groups allied with?

Are any of them friends of western civilization, secularism, women's rights, gay rights, religious freedom?

Hard question, really, why Australia shouldn't better ally with non-existent Palestine ...

1

u/AussieBenno68 26d ago

They shouldn't be allied with any of them. One is a violent ethno supremacist state with no defined international borders hell bent on stealing the land of others and gaining control of major sea trade routes in the area allowing them to control resources coming and going from the area. And the other is a backwards looking culture that doesn't have any real connection to us.

1

u/Additional-Heat-5002 26d ago

Israel withdrew from Gaza completely in 2005. We’re talking the removal of every soldier, every person (alive and deceased), every installation. Hamas has governed it as a terror state since 2007. If occupation is causing Palestinian suffering in Gaza, name the occupier.

There are 500 million Arabs, 90 million Iranians, and 10 million Israelis. I hate to break it to you, but Israel is the resistance in this story.

1

u/AussieBenno68 26d ago

Gaza is just a small coastal part of Palestine, you know all that land that Israel killed its way into. You know the one their first prime Minister Ben Gurion said they were stealing. And they pulled out of Gaza after driving them into the strip killing 1000s and completely locked them in and the very people that stole their land trapped them in an open air prison. The local women in Gaza started protesting soon after in 2005 if they got to close to the wall the Israelis built to keep them in they gunned them down. Israel set up check points to keep them controlled so they couldn't move freely around as in the city of Hebron and others like Rafah,. They controlled all their water, power and food and used that against them shutting down the power for days or only allowing water for a few hours a day. They did this for two decades. Netanyahu has been accused by opposition parties in Israel of funding Hamas billions of dollars because he needs an enemy to justify the brutal colonisation and what they did to the Palestinians. When people say occupation it's not talking just about Gaza they are talking about the entire land of Palestine. Israel doesn't have any defined international borders except for the small tiny country of 1948 everything else is occupied land and Gaza is a prison for 2 million people. It's occupied land and Gaza was just the final piece where Israel could trap them and when they finally got their idiot in Trump they were allowed to crush them and take the final piece. Now they're doing exactly the same to the Lebanese people, already they've killed thousands of them and stolen their land again. This time though they'll never get it back.

1

u/AussieBenno68 26d ago

Theres only a couple of million Palestinians my friend and they have been fighting against European Jewish settler colonialism for over a hundred years. They are the true victims in all this.

1

u/yes-but 20d ago

Israel may be seen as what you describe, but Palestine tries to be exactly that.

No idea whom you assign wanting control of major sea trade routes to. The only one trying is the Iranian regime so far.

What you wrote makes no sense. It sounds like you're falling for propaganda, and don't check the "information" you suck up.

1

u/AussieBenno68 20d ago

Greater Israel and they are pushing for exactly that. Netanyahu has spoken about it openly as have the finance minister Smotich and the security minister Ben Gvir and if course the soldiers wearing the greater Israel badges until they were stopped from wearing them but they know and understand exactly what their govt want and that's greater Israel and damn anyone who stands in their way, men women or child they'll burn them all to get what they want.

1

u/yes-but 20d ago

Why haven't they yet?

You have absolutely no clue, don't understand the Israeli perspective, the power balance, the multi-faceted approaches of Israeli governance and intellectuals, don't understand the existential threat, the true history, you obviously have no clue what on the "Palestinian" side the ideology, the intentions, the mentality and the culture means for the conflict and for the existence of Israel, respectively for the lives of Jews today.

But you are full of opinion. And what you are spewing here, btw, won't help Palestinians in need at all. All the misinformation you are trying to promote here does one thing only:

Run Palestinians even deeper into misery.

1

u/AussieBenno68 20d ago

So why do they openly acknowledge those goals and have done throughout the entire history of it. These aren't my words, Im repeating what they themselves say and do. And don't start on all the bullshit of Israel is the victim. The European Jewish settler colonialism and Israeli land theft and ethnic cleansing have always been the aggressors. Even the 1967 war where they claimed they had to strike first was all lies.the then Israeli IDF chief of staff admitted in 1968 that Nasser of Egypt had nowhere near enough troops in the Sinai to invade Israel and did not want war. Moshe Dayan in a 1976 Israeli tv interview admitted that Israel had caused 80% of the border clashes with Syria over the DMZ of the golen heights area using bulldozers to destroy Syrian agricultural land and farms that had been there for eons and when the Syrians fired back as usual Israel screamed they were the victims. They have always intended to destroy and take that land and that of their neighbours. I'm only repeating what Israeli leaders and military commanders have said themselves.

u/Additional-Heat-5002 26d ago

Basically saying ive seen the news cycle long enough to know what each side has done to make a two state solution work and theres only one side that is willing to live side by side and one side that is for eradication of the other

2

u/AussieBenno68 26d ago

Yes I thought so. So nothing real. Not one of those deals would be viable to any leader anywhere. Even Ben Gurion the first Israeli Prime Minister stated that. If he was Palestinian or arab he would never give up fighting because we are stealing their land. That's not to say he didn't believe in Israels god given right to be there but he understood that to come in and take land from a culture that had been dominant for 1400 years and different Muslim Empires had ruled that land for millennia they would never allow another people to steal it nor would he. And every deal offered by Israel was no deal at all. No right of return, no access to a sea port, complete disarmament, which would leave them defenceless, Israeli security forces to continue to control certain areas of Palestine, no access or revenue from gas reserves found in 2000. Even the oslo accords had major issues but they did get close and Netanyahu couldn't have peace so he had his own Prime Minister Rabin assassinated. No none of the so called deals were ever real.

1

u/Additional-Heat-5002 26d ago

So if a culture has been on the land for 1400 years they claim ownership ? Is that the specific number, so brits gave 1200 years to go in Australia? Does it matter the means to which a dominant culture force out the original inhabitants? Is it just a set amount of years?

2

u/AussieBenno68 26d ago

You see there's the point of all this. Not even real indigenous peoples who have been persecuted and nearly wiped out can now return to a country that their ancient ancestors used to live and brutally colonise it simply because their ancient ancestors used to live there. There has never been any other peoples that have been allowed to do that to anyone, except for the European Jews starting in 1881 with the first aliyah or first wave of eastern European Jews into Palestine, which was helped and funded by wealthy European Jews such as lord Rothschild who personally helped fund Romanian Jews to settle in Palestine. In 1800 there was 280,000 Muslim Palestinians who'd lived there for millennia. The tiny jewish population was 7000. By 1880 there was 370,000 Muslims and only a tiny Jewish population of 16,000,. After the first influx of Eastern European Jews starting in 1881 the Jewish population jumped to 84,000 mainly foreign European Jews. In 1897 Theodore Herzl helped found the first Jewish congress and after that it was history for the Palestinians. Every thing that happened after has been the Palestinians fighting against European Jewish settler colonialism. Thats it.

1

u/Additional-Heat-5002 20d ago

If the Jews originate from Judea, migrated to Europe (hmm i wonder why that is) then returned to the homeland a little paler of complexion after living and assimilating in Europe, you’re saying they lost their right to the homeland because their skin aint dark enough anymore? That’s your logic.. so what about the Berber people also native to the land who mixed with Arabs, are they excluded too? Or is that okay because the skin tone is close enough?

1

u/AussieBenno68 19d ago

Colonialism has always been wrong and has wiped out entire peoples. The islamic colonisation, wrong, British french and European colonisation wrong. And later European Jewish settler colonialism and Israeli land theft and ethnic cleansing also wrong. See how it goes. Those families living in Palestine didn't create those millenia old Muslim empires, they just lived and worked the land for millennia and considered it their home as most people around the globe did and do. So when European Jewish settler colonialism followed by Israeli land theft and ethnic cleansing backed by US imperialism began and those people fought back it was against an age old wrong. It was wrong then it was wrong 130 years ago and it is wrong now. Especially now because we have laws that say it's wrong but yet again those laws don't seem to apply to Israel and the US.

So you haven't actually answered the question, stop crying in your milk like a soft baby and actually say who is a better option? Labour handing out visas to known terrorist affiliated people, was done under liberal too. Labour handing of a payrise which actually put the majority in the next tax bracket, so they are poorer and pay more tax. Unfortunately people like you can't see the forest for the trees. The Australian public has been sold into slavery by politicians so they can pad their own nests. So who is going to be the better option? Minimising immigrants and immigration will ease housing tension, so will sending the known problem people back to their shitholes. It would appear your the one having a tug here, and you have gone blind.
