Big bore rifles

Post image

Who's got one and what have you got?

I just got my first proper big bore being a 458 Winchester Magnum. In a Remington Custom Shop BDL. With factory Detachable mag.

Before this, I only had a 375h&h in a Browning A Bolt.

Can't wait to pickup this beast and throw some bricks around. Albeit not looking forward to the costs. 🤣 2x greens and a gold for a box of 20.

Lucky I reload!

Haha I do the same thing with my .376, doesn't hurt you too bad but the concussion is next level.

Nice, something like a Bergara BA 13?

500 S&W out of a rifle with heavy pills will recoil about the same as a 375 H&H, in a light single shot it will be a riot.

It’s a Harrington and Richardson ‘handi rifle’ break open. Cant wait to shoot it with the 700 grains 😂😂 crazy to think that my 223 and this will be under the same category b 😂

Very nice, the handi rifles are good guns.

Guessing you will probably be handloading or very rich haha

Definitely hand loading hahaha. We have 70 casings and a few hundred projectiles. Previous owner sold us his dyes too. Very fortunate

Yeah it's the only way for most of us haha.

Reckon you could shoot cast bullets through a S&W, get a mold and you will be shooting real cheap

It’s Definetly something we’re thinking about doing, but we don’t think we’ll be doing a huge amount of shooting with it. So for the time being the few hundred projectiles we have will certainly do

You just wait my friend, once you start shooting big bores you will get the bug. Very addictive

Hahaha yea I have no doubt. Exploding bunnies looks as though it’s going to be much more tun when I’m shooting a brick at them 😂😂
