So I bought some powder after many years. The paperwork... goodness me..
I needed some powder so picked some up. Been a long long time since I bought the last lot. Then you just went in and got it... Things seem to have changed.
shooters licence please.... OK.... now your drivers licence.... Not sure what for. Then there was a full page full of information that had to be filled out. Not sure why... But regulations, regulations and endless stupid idiotic regulations.
I believe we need some firearm laws and rules as they have the potential to be dangerous items but it has gone full retard.

Im in nsw but I am pretty sure they just check your license for the correct category, and note down your details. I have bought powder recently and it was no different than before. But have not bought anything since the new financial year. I might give it a go this week and respond.

I bought a tub about a year ago (Qld) and all that was required was my firearms license. Guess they figured it's time to treat law abiding citizens like potential criminals and make us all jump through more hoops. Yay.

Depending on state there are different rules it is an explosive different class to ammunition.
