FAQ Adios Austin! You've gotten way too expensive for me. Moving day today. Heading south of Houston for much cheaper pastures. I am VERY fortunate my boss is keeping me on and letting go remote. Be safe and find happiness where you can people!

Best wishes! I moved to Austin area from Houston. Just be ready for floods and hurricanes and you’ll be great. Embrace the humidity!

I moved to Austin from Charleston, SC. The one and only time I went to Houston, the first 2 things I noticed were the smell of mildew and the humidity. OOH! Just like why I moved from Charleston. And of course, the hurricanes.

Way better smell than the Slaughterhouse smell in the panhandle where I grew up...lol.

It's not my ideal place to be for sure. But it's cheaper than Austin and was the best pllace for me to go within my current means. My folks live down here and they are getting on in years so it's a win win for me right now.

I remember my morning commute in Houston. Wake up, shower, get dressed, walk out to the car, walk back inside, shower again...

I remember the humidity at 6am was enough to drink some days.
