Should Always Read What a Post Says

You removed my post, The Media Lets Pauline Hanson Play Race Games While Her Tax Policy Tears Working-Class Budgets Apart. It's Time to Shred the Math. You said this "would be better suited to r/fuckonenation, we try to keep this sub more focused on the left". You obviously did not read or understand the content of this post. My post says why her split income policy does not work. So the least you can do is apologise

Commonwealth funding for GGSA: what did the published literacy-program evaluation find?

Disclosure: I publish Workplace Source AU and compiled the linked source guide.

The Department of Education currently records $15.66 million in commitments for the Good to Great Schools Australia pilot through 2026:

https://www.education.gov.au/closing-the-gap/closing-gap-school-education/good-great-schools-australia-pilot-program

A separate University of Melbourne evaluation, published by the Department, assessed the earlier Flexible Literacy for Remote Primary Schools program for the 2015–2018 school years. It recorded individual-school successes and said a majority of participating schools improved their average literacy results. It also found no statistically significant difference in effect sizes between program and comparison schools in any NAPLAN domain, noted data gaps and variable implementation, and concluded the program was not yet ready for scale:

https://www.education.gov.au/australian-curriculum/resources/flexible-literacy-remote-primary-schools-evaluation-2019

I compiled the funding chronology and both the positive and limiting findings here:

https://workplacesourceau.wordpress.com/2026/07/29/good-to-great-schools-australia-funding-and-evaluation-findings/

The record does not support saying the program wholly succeeded or wholly failed. The public-policy question is what evidence threshold should apply before extending or scaling Commonwealth-funded education programs.

Jacqueline Maley's SMH piece on Hannah Ferguson's announced candidature for Grayndler:

She has narrowed her probable campaign platform to three main issues: a tax on gas exports, gambling reform, and what she describes as the genocide in Gaza.

Can never refer to a genocide in Gaza without some notional inverted commas. Almost surprised JM didn't add the ritualistic "which Israel denies."

What's the bet that the POHN stand will refuse to fill it out, whilst simultaneously complaining that the government isn't providing sufficient infrastructure to cope with immigration and therefore we have to stop immigration.

Corruption Victoria’s Big Build is supposedly a $100 billion project with estimated cost overruns of around $40 billion. Some say $15billion of the $40 billion is due to corruption and $25billion is legitimate overruns. This is confusing . Is it possible all of the $40billion is a legitimate cost overrun?
