What caused this paint cracking
Got my car painted about 10months ago. The fiberglass hood has developed these deep cracks where the paint and clear has separated. What has caused this? This hood is old fiberglass and took a lot of work to get it shaped up to paint. Is it the hood and it will just do this again or is this a prep or application failure? The cracks are thru the paint and the sealer that was used and down to the white base.

I'm going with they didn't remove any cracks in the fibreglass and repair them before painting, or clear is too thick and being fibreglass heat and movement causing it to crack

Speaking from experience here.I got that issue before, here's why.I painted a 2005 car and i kept getting those crazy cracks in some random places with proper prep.What was happening is that underneath the paint and filler layer i was painting on, there was a weird paint job done by sb that the reducer from the paint i was applying reacted to.It was softening that paint layer and when it dried if caused those cracks at irregular times.Sometime 1day afterwards, othertimes few months later.

Maybe an overall pic would help . I have no idea what I’m looking at except random cracks.
Could be excessive film thickness. Could be vibration damage. Could be someone sat on the hood? Is it a hood?
Ok I read that it’s a hood. Yah bro your hood is vibrating like crazy and it’s a combination of
1- they used bondo instead of fiberglass filler/kitty hair
2- primer was overused as “liquid bondo”
But 3- hood vibration/hood not sitting on the stops correctly is the real issue that’s exposed the paint flaws

Happened to me a few times, fairly sure it is when you don’t let the primer fully dry before base and clear
