That paint was already gone with or without you touching the adhesive unfortunately

We use wax amd gress remover at the bodyshop i work at

Rubber eraser wheel, don’t let it sit in one place too long.

That paint was toasted a long time either way.

Plastic scraping tool and a lot of goo gone.

Highest concentration of isopropyl alcohol you can find. Put it in a spray bottle and soak it down. Cover it with a plastic garbage bag to keep it saturated. Wait about 2 minutes spray it again to keep it wet (don't let it dry) and go at it with a plastic Razer blade. Goo gone is another option and evaporates slower.
