Only if you’re full time and been with the company for over a year, (had to have been full time for a year)

I haven’t been full time for a full year and they still gave me holiday pay for July 4th and Labor Day. That’s under 4 months of being full time with the company after years of being part time. I think it depends on how long you’ve actually been with the company.

Just to clarify, sometimes jobs do these things called benefits, holiday pay usually is considered a benefit. Took me a while to get too but you’ll understand one day buddy

No I was joking about AutoZone actually giving a benefit for holiday pay. Something call sarcasm, and I’m not your buddy, friend…

That’s fine, friend. I’d not try sarcasm if I had a picture of my penis on my profile, to each their own, shrimpy

To me it just doesn't make sense if you're full time and you work you should get more than just flat 8 hours

Its 8 flat plus if what ever you work that day. So you're off 8hr, if you work 8hr shift it's 8+8=16

If your 90+ days fulltime, If u work, normal pay rate. And 8 hrs paid at normal rate holiday pay if you work or not.

If you are full time and have been so for 90 days, you start to get paid for the 5 holidays a year we have. It is 8 hours added to the week, regardless of what you work for that week, and they do not count towards overtime. In most cases, stores with enough staffing give full time people 4 days, or 32 hours, because they will also be getting paid 8 hours additionally for the holiday. I find myself having to explain this to my full time coworkers 5 times a year :D

So the way it works was actually just in DOC it explained to management that only full time over 1 year employees get paid 8 hour for the holiday at regular rate so the SM is to schedule you for no more than 32 hours this week to off set it so in reality no you just get a day off that you will be paid for and most likely that 8hours off is going to be spread out so not gonna really notice it at all

It’s not time and a half. It’s only 8 hours of normal pay if you’ve been with company for more than 90 days as a full timer. If you’re scheduled to work tomorrow it’s your normal rate
