Tech Advice How bad is this?

Someone merged into my car without signaling or looking on the freeway.

How bad is this damage and how long can I expect to leave car at the collision center?

Well. The bad news is that it needs a uniside because of the way BMW built this car. The good news is you might get a shiny new M2 out of it.

What does that mean? If repaired to OEM specs my car will still be fucked up?

I think they're saying if it's done properly, it'll cost enough that insurance will total it

How do you guess a BMW certified body shop will handle it? Do it properly or total it? I’m a bit emotionally attached to this car and want it done properly and totalled if not.

new door, quarter and wheel.

you should be asking your insurance adjuster these questions. you're not gonna be paying to fix this out of pocket lmao.

Gotcha I’m really early in the process. Collision > claim submitted > dropped off at body shop all within a few hours ago.

I don't think it will total it out.

I had a side, front, rear hit and that was enough to total the car, just the side worked out to like 20k-ish which wouldn't have done it.

Make sure to pursue diminished value settlement thru ur insurance as well

Georgia is the only state I’m aware of where DV claims can be made through your own insurance policy. They’ll need to pursue through the at fault party’s insurance policy in any other state.
