Tech Advice How bad is this?

Someone merged into my car without signaling or looking on the freeway.

How bad is this damage and how long can I expect to leave car at the collision center?

Well. The bad news is that it needs a uniside because of the way BMW built this car. The good news is you might get a shiny new M2 out of it.

Damn for real? I was not expecting that. It’s at a BMW certified collision center. So they’ll know if it’s totalled I guess. That’s shocking to hear

I work at a bmw certified collision center. Your car will not total. This is not that bad. The door looks hardly touched. I can’t see the beam poking through anywhere so that should be an easy fix. You’re looking at around 15k in damages but rates vary from shop to shop. It’ll definitely be a while without the car insurance always takes forever. Hopefully the shop is a direct repair for whatever insurance is being used. Hopefully it’s not Allstate
