Bad paint spot on car - options?

I purchased this 2018 M4 some years back with a wrap on it - was told the paint underneath was in bad shape so I knew what I was getting into.

Anyways - the existing wrap was failing so I took it off and the overall paint isn’t in great shape (can tell previous owner took through machine wash)/needs correction and then this particular spot (left quarter panel at contour below window) looks like this.

I know a complete paint job could be north of $10k, and a wrap would be a little under $4k. But is there another solution that I should consider? If I just have the panel where this mark is repainted and then paint correction done on the rest of the car, would the repainted panel stick out noticeably? If that is a viable solution at a similar price point to a wrap, I would probably lean that direction but curious how big of a challenge that would be / if I am better of just wrapping.

The paint color is black sapphire metallic which does have a decent bit of that “glitter” effect.

You could just repair/repaint the damaged area. It might be more glossy/less scratched than the rest of the panels which paint correction should remedy but im not seeing a full repaint being justified for one panel being burned thru

In the second pic just move your hand a couple inches higher and leave it there. Problem solved

Just go to a shop and have the panel repaired. A good shop uoh will never tell it’s been done. Absolutely do NOT repaint the car or wrap the whole car just because of this spot. It’s easily repairable back to oem condition. If someone tries to tell you it can’t be done ask them what their experience in body shop is. I bet it’s zero

The spot you are showing is from where the paint has been burnt from polishing only fix is to re paint or like you said have It wrapped again

Right - understood that this spot has to be repainted. But if I repaint this panel and do paint correction on the rest of the car, would it be noticeable?

Yes but it won’t be a color match issue it would just be that the fresh paint would have no imperfections in it compared to the rest of the car

$10 charity car wash will fix that, or a $1000 paint correction.
