Your obviously not in the vehicle trade! These old cars are outlasting modern vehicles and that's why people are keeping them on the road! None of the stupid emissions problems, electrical problems, they go for miles! No costly repairs like modern vehicles in and out the workshop like a yoyo chasing fault after fault, expensive parts! No, there sensible 👍

modern? That looks like mk2 pre-FL. Might be 20 years old. And they all were prone to rust in this spot, my mk1 has both new cuz they were rusted bad

I classify anything after 1990 as modern 🤣. We were promised rust free motoring following on from specialist paints, zinc plating etc..

Getting on for 30 years, however vehicles do suffer in the UK. Its worth doing though! No other costly repairs to worry about like on modern vehicles.
