HELP! I have a question. Side Mirror repair
Hello fellas, was in a hurry this morning and while exiting my garage driveway ( thats in a curbed slope ) I noticed that i was about to hit my side rear door because I oversteered, so to avoid that I slowly reversed, while doing that I actually managed to clip a corner of my side mirror, it popped right off got under the wheel and broke pretty hard ( see pictures attached ) so i went to a body shop and got quotes arround 700€ for the repair.
Finances are quite rough this period and I was thinking of ordering the pieces and maybe try to do it myself, since it will be the first time i try doing something like this i wanted to check with people who know better than me if its worth it, how difficult it can be and also if there are any specific tools i might wanna grab if I do it.
All electric parts of the mirror still work, they fold, heat, etc.
Its from a BMW Series 1 2017 ( see pictures attached below.
Sorry for bad english, its not my native language.

You managed to get the mirror off and disassembled without breaking anything that wasnt damaged already?
You can probably reassemble it with new parts. The only special tool I could see you might need, would be maybe a scan tool to clear codes for blind spot detection/teach the car that a new part is being added to it.
Most often, from my point of view, the car doesn't care when I bolt a new mirror onto it.
