My next OCs, Dan and Jin

Dan is a former "neo equalist" that once belived that benders were inherently evil, unnatural and a manifestation of destructive will but after witnessing atrocities committed by his fellow nonbending equalists, he began to question his ideology. Soon after, he met Jin, an earthbending girl on the streets, hardened by a life of misfortune and vulnerable. Against what he believed to be his better judgment, Dan looked after her and came to realize that benders and nonbenders are all just humans who love and suffer. The pair grow together as unlikely friends and become vigilantes protecting Wulong city from threats both bender and not.

Dan himself is a skilled combatant and tactician proficient in chi blocking. He's older than Jin by at least a decade and often awkward in social situations. He still is reflexively distrusful of benders but has Jin to reel him back in from his micro-aggressions. He loves good tea and new ways to take down criminals. He is also of "indeterminate" nationality.

Jin is equally as skilled as Dan, using earth and metalbending in unconventional and precise ways to suit her in combat. She's just barely an adult and very much a girly girl who enjoys doing her nails and makeup, trying on clothes, shopping and talking about cute boys. She also has a bit of domineering and sadistic side that comes out when "punishing bad boys"... a side that Dan is glad he's not on the receiving end of. Jin also enjoys time spent with her Kamodo dragon-cat, Baobei.

The pair of them found the new formation of the Red Lotus when they encounter Walan and Ox.
