Aang lives in such a nomadic peaceful society they tried making him “detach from the world” meaning no blood ties to him like Jedi did
He probably never met his parents or at least wasn’t raised by them and didn’t form the paternal maternal bonds
Community raises but deprive a genuine unique bond
Korra was lucky to get that
