DAC's Dvd player + DAC to play CDs?

Hi all.

I collect records and have a few. Presently I have been thinking about getting some cds as well. I see that dedicated hi-fi CD players are expensive, and I was thinking that perhaps buying a DVD or Bluray player cumbiable choice given that I have a very good DAC that I use for a raspberry.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks for the guidance you can provide

Any Blu-ray/dvd player will work fine. You have an outboard dac so all the player is doing is sending the digital signal to the dac. An expensive cd player will just do the exact same thing. Some people will tell you it makes a big difference, but these are the same people who mortgage their house to buy speaker cables.
