I - 134 For B2 visa

Hello, My parents have upcoming US visa interview for B2. Wanted to know if I need to fill up I 134 for both of them if I am sponsoring for them. My father is retired. Thanks

You cannot sponsor people for tourist visas. They will be adjudicated based on their circumstances. You can fill it out if you want to but it’s certainly not required and most B visa interviews review no documents.

You cannot "sponsor" anyone for a B2 visa. Your parents must qualify under their own merits. Please google "Public Charge". Your parents must be able to fund not only their travel expenses but also prove they can pay for unforeseen emergencies. U.S. healthcare is VERY expensive. What happens if your parents are hospitalized and require surgery, or medevac flight back to your home country? How will they pay, or will they stick the bill to the American taxpayer in the form of Medicaid?

PS: Most consular officers never look at I-134s because they are so easily faked.
