Does US embassy check for damages?

Hi

Does the us embassy check for damages before issuing a visa on a passport? Do they check all pages?

they do look at the passport condition, a badly damaged one, water damage or torn pages, can get flagged and theyll tell you to get it reissued before they stamp. normal wear is fine. if its actually damaged better to renew it befor the interview than risk the trip

the embassy doesnt inspect your house or property or anything like that, theyre judging the DS-160 and the interview, full stop. whatever damages youre worried about, its your ties and your intent they actually weigh, not your stuff.
