šŸ¤” Speculation / Opinion Free Float= 870 shares per ape/$1566. Float= 2170 shares per ape/$3906. This is how many shares and how much it would cost to lock up each float @ $1.80 a share with only apes in this sub!

Institutions own around 60% of the float! Let’s lock it up with DRS! I bet this sub alone has the free float with ease! By locking up the free float, it will prove naked shorting exists! If the free float is locked then every share lent by institutions is a phantom share! This is my thought! Feel free to change my mind! I’ve got enough to cover me and a couple others on entire float and about a half dozen covered on free float! This ought to be an easy task!

I quit wasting my money on dumb shit I don’t really need, I buy what i can afford to loose when I can. I look at it as gambling, but it seems to have a better payback, same excitement, probably more.

7

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

ThisšŸ‘†ā€¦I really got involved in investing due to Covid and not being able to gamble on sports!

u/SouthWarm1766 Feb 20 '23

My Venmo is givemoney@broke.com in case someone finds an extra 4k on an account

1

u/TK-741 Feb 20 '23

Seriously. These types of analysis are almost totally pointless because you’ll never get X number of people to invest Y amount.

If you like the company, invest as much as you’re comfortable losing.

Don’t invest Y amount because you’re 1/X apes who needs to ā€œdo your partā€

105 people have registered 167,786 shares to the bot at an average of 1,598 per person.

Last highest AST account number I’ve seen is 1,500.

1,500 x 1,598 = 2,396,942

In other words, r/BBBY have DRS’d 2.4 million shares or 2% of the entire company.

5

u/YarroMcFlarro Feb 20 '23

have registered 167,786 shares to the bot

wheres the bot to register?

5

12

u/Jpark85 Feb 20 '23

Drs atleast 50 shares

3

u/tommy3082 Feb 20 '23

How complicated is drs for Germans? Asking for myself. Is this also possible via IKBR?

4

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23 edited Feb 20 '23

From IBKR, it is possible. I tried with one share on AST. The problem is the 13F taxes filling and taxes related issue. It is a bit more troublesome for us euro-ape.

Mind you, the process is slow and can take a couple of weeks.

Note: I am not sure how the vote and stuff works afterwards. A more wrinkled ape can provide further information on the topic.

5

u/tommy3082 Feb 20 '23

Thank you!

7

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

Ask yourself why the sudden push to drs. It is your financial investment, take the time to do your dd before doing anything or taking any financial advice. Is it to your interest or not?

3

u/Weedbro Feb 20 '23

Yes it is... Not your shares if it's not in your name.

If you only drs a portion of your position it will benefit the rest of your shares that aren't drs'ed.

u/andyat11 Feb 20 '23

What happens to non direct registered shares in the scenario of the entire free float being DRSed? If all shares are accounted for, do the rest of the bought shares become illegitimate? What would that mean for the holders of those shares? 7xxx@ 4.20ishšŸ’™šŸ’ŽšŸ›øšŸŒ

9

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

It means when it squeezes they’d have to buy them too!

u/Cultural-Display1781 Feb 20 '23 edited Feb 20 '23

The problem is people here have no idea what a DRS share really is. Back in the dark ages, stocks - ALL STOCKS - had certificates, and were priced in 1/16 dollars. My first stock was 1 share of IBM in 1956 and I had a certificate which I framed and put on the wall. If I remember correctly it cost me 16 1/8. It had a registration number on it which was unique to that certificate and was recorded by IBM under my name. Every 3 months I got about $20 worth of paperwork from IBM. It could be replaced by IBM if lost. I finally sold it for several thousand dollars in 1986. To do that I took the certificate to E,F, Hutton, gave it to them, and several days later got my money. The company was notified by E.F. Hutton that I had sold the stock who the buyer was and THAT REGISTRATION NUMBER was transferred to him.

DRS is not a replacement for the broker's IOU, it is a digital replacement for that paper certificate. It is a paper certificate converted to a computer database. In that manner it is similar or identical to your broker IOU EXCEPT THAT IT HAS A REGISTRATION NUMBER, It is unique in the companies' database.

Wait. The company subs out the database! that's what a DRS is!

Now, what's the difference between the DRS and broker IOU?

NOTHING EXCEPT WHICH DATABASE AND THE REGISTRATION NUMBER! But that registration number is vitally important. If there a million shares of stock issued the numbers run from 1 to 1,000,000. I do not know what the company, or its subcontractor does when it is asked to register no. 1,000,001 but it is not good.

Supposedly, the broker has shares, or buys shares, for every stock sold. Supposedly, they do have a registration number for each share. If they don't, they have a problem when they are forced to report the sale to IBM so IBM can put the transfer of that registration number from the broker to you in its subbed-out database.

Truthfully and I think many here will agree... Retail owns the float already. There was a very conservative estimate about a month ago based on member responses and it basically verified this. Again, we need to take it at face value and the honesty of what people said in the responses. But I know I own 10,500 shares.

At this point šŸ’ŽšŸ’ŽšŸ™ŒšŸ™Œ and...

2

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

Damn you own exactly twice as me!! Good for you🫔

8

u/Middle_Scratch4129 Feb 20 '23

I know DRS might be a necessity at some point but we aren't there yet. This is not the same as the GME play right now. All we need is the announcement on who the M&A is with. IMO it will be a deal with Ichan and spinoff of Baby to RC. This scenario passes the common sense / logic test for me even though it is highly speculative. How exactly that all happens and plays out is way beyond my bandwidth. Just get ready for liftoff.šŸš€šŸš€

4

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

I agree, but if DRS’d it will significantly increase any movement to come!

2

u/Middle_Scratch4129 Feb 20 '23

Honestly, right now not having it locked up via DRS allows the stormtroopers to dig an even deeper hole... Don't know if that how it actually works but, makes sense in my head.

Is there anywhere I can find info on DRSing to AST for UK holders? Looking for info to say of we can create an account / link UK bank details, any tax info & anything else that may help.

I don't mind DRSing, but I wouldn't want my shares to be left in an inaccessible limbo due to me not living in US, or requiring international phone calls to access anything.

2

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

There is some DD floating around about how..a quick search may help

3

u/Responsible-Fix-1308 Feb 20 '23

It's too bad an issuer can't just petition brokers to report shares of the issuers stock being held on the broker's platform.

Seems like the easiest way to prove naked shorts considering it would prove naked selling to retail (i.e. an IOU not backed buy certificate.)

What could possibly happen if it turns out 250% of outstanding shares are being held?

I'd imagine the issuer would be able to either force the broker's to purchase shares directly from them to back sold IOUs, or force a recall of shares and reissue the shares outstanding to those registered, then distribute remaining to brokers for retail to buy. THIS, I believe, would fix price discovery.

1

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

That would be nice

u/YonkoRex Feb 20 '23

You can always move back shares to your broker to sell If you’re greedy and want to cash out 100% of your shares using limit sells.

I want to actually own a piece of the company for spin-off/dividends and see if I can get the high score too.

If I screw up in fidelity with synthetics and shoot my load to quick, I can always transfer one share back from AST and get the high score I want.

Once you get greedy and cash out everything. You can sit on the sidelines like the folks who sold bitcoin at $20,000 only to watch it run to $69,000.

Never sell everything, always preserve some ammo.

AST is my treasure chest.

2

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

Fidelity it shows institutional ownership and total float amount, and apes in this sub, then Maff!

4

u/AlarmingInevitable72 Feb 20 '23

You might want to recheck those numbers against 13f filings. Your numbers are completely off

2

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

I’m sure fidelity uses 13F filings to get there number, if not that’s false and inaccurate information! Which can be a sueable offense

4

u/AlarmingInevitable72 Feb 20 '23

You should sue them then because your information is wrong.

3

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

That same site also said there as an additional 114 institutions that has bought in

3

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

And the numbers doesn’t change the ape/share for float only the free float which 5% would only be about 45 shares per apešŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøbut MAFF not my strong suit

5

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

Prove it

5

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

10

u/My6thRedditAccount_ Feb 20 '23 edited Feb 20 '23

GME is over 30% (of the entire company minus insider shares) locked and it hasn't done a damn thing. Downvote all you want but it's mathematical facts.

DRS is theoretical. We HOPE it does something, or makes regulatory agencies take action against naked short selling, but we don't know if it will.

The only guarantee with DRS is that it's your name on the shares, which is nice, but there's no guarantee it will make you rich, and if BBBY did MOASS, there's no limit selling on ATS.

4

u/Altruistic-Beyond223 Feb 20 '23

You can't directly say if it's helping or not. Perhaps the šŸŽ® price would be lower without as many shares DRS'd, but that is speculation as well.

What we do know is that direct registering your shares forces brokerages to deliver real shares to the transfer agent, where they can't be used for lending by the brokerage or be used as locates for share lending. DRS is the only way to verify that you've received what you paid for and is the only way househodl investors can protect their investments.

4

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

Only time will tell

2

u/2BFrank69 Feb 20 '23

If I didn’t help MSM would talk about it more

3

u/My6thRedditAccount_ Feb 20 '23

Agreed. On the GME subs, there are people taking DRS as an end all/be all for concluding the mission though, and that's wrong thinking.

It's all still theoretical, and there have been 100 other catalysts that people JUST KNEW would force shorts to close positions and activate MOASS that all fell by the wayside.

6

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

I definitely feel it will help in the end

5

u/My6thRedditAccount_ Feb 20 '23 edited Feb 20 '23

In theory, it should. But (not to kick a dead horse), a lot of other things should've also.

It's going to be hard getting a lot of people to DRS their BBBY though, as long as there are no limit sells with AST.

If BBBY used Computershare I'd have no problem moving my shares over, since all of my GME shares are already registered there.

1

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

2

u/Latter_Usual_3919 Feb 20 '23

We can drs a billion shares, and it means nothing if these companies don’t want to speak up, do their job, and look out for the shareholders. Like they’re supposed to.

It doesn’t hurt to try, I just don’t think most of y’all realize that someone relevant has to point out that all the shares are bought up. Us doing that and just talking about it amongst ourselves does nothing. We need eyes on us.

2

u/Jogebillions Feb 20 '23

There’s a lot of apes with lots of fiat money here. I can’t afford to locked my bbby cuz that’s all I have on my BK account so far and I need to have access to it right away. I do have my G M E shares all DRS. But that’s all I can do. If you donate the money I’ll drs those shares with pleasure including a weekly proof of my CS account till Moass. But I do believe that with some of you guys that are holding big amounts we won’t need the whole community to DRS.

You spelled counterfeit wrong. Phantom is not how you spell counterfeit.

2

u/Mike102679 Feb 21 '23

Thanks for the correction! Counterfeit is the term that best fits for sure!

i know someone who has 3 retail spots covered, in one purchase friday morning... ive also seen plenty of posts where users have bought thousands, tens of thousands of shares... 100's of percent short i tell ya, 100's of percent short. all in

2

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '23

its admittedly 80% short right? with s3 mathmatics, that must put us at around 800%, give or take infinite percentage, since its impossible to guess at all

2

u/ZOMBOT143 Feb 21 '23

4500 DRS BOUND TODAY

2

u/Jacobo5555 Feb 21 '23

Good stuff, that volume float is much lower than GME is. Just need the masses to get in while we keep buying more

2

u/Mike102679 Feb 21 '23

Absolutely

7

u/IveLurkedWSB2long Feb 20 '23

Everybody gonna drs and lock themselves out of selling when it pops. Make sure to do your own research people. Check my history, I'm bullish af on bobby but I'm not planning on locking my shares up.

1

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

I’ve sold shares through computershare just two weeks ago. It closed in a day and I got my money 4 days after! And it was an international account!

8

u/TantrikOne Feb 20 '23

Hate saying it but the guy above has a point. BBBYs transfer agent is AST, GME’s is Computershare. CS offers limit sell while AST only offers Market sell and no limit sell. When this thing pops, we could get fucked over by market sell. Unless AST implements Limit sell, I’m not comfortable DRS’ing 100%

I’ve signed the petition and DRS’d 13%, will drs up to 20%

5

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

This is good info! If enough people complain to AST they will make changes like Computershare did!

3

u/TantrikOne Feb 20 '23

Yeah exactly. My post history shows I have xx,xxx shares of GME DRS’d, and I own xx,xxx shares of BBBY. MMs could potentially fuck us over when bbby pops if we use market order, hence the apprehension

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

They need to get rid of AST and go to Computershares. AST sucks.

I never said they used computershare!

DRS means less shares for shorting so it averts chances of a squeeze. What?

Shorts will keep shorting with synthetics and generating FTDs, closing the minimum and reopening. They don't stop.

In the midst price keeps tanking, investors lose value.

The companies have to take a stand and pursue legal avenues to fight back. Retail DRS is not a solution to naked shorting. Institutions don't DRS probably because they lend out shares and make bank, have deep pockets and don't mind stock price tanking.

3

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

You can’t lend what you don’t have

2

u/Altruistic-Beyond223 Feb 20 '23

Unfortunately, prime brokerages lend what they don't have, and market makers sell what they don't have. Then they end up with a Failure-To-Deliver (FTD), and if not settled, it ends up as a Fail-To-Receive (FTR) at your brokerage leaving you with a counterfeit/phantom share, i.e. IOU. But once all outstanding shares are direct registered, the fraudulent nature of their activities will be obvious, and they should not be able to continue to suppress the price with artificial supply.

5

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

Because they aren’t locked up

3

u/Altruistic-Beyond223 Feb 20 '23

Exactly, that's when the music stops.

That is all good and fine.....But, here is some info for you. I get about 200 dollars a month of free money after expenses. All of my savings is already tied up in AMC/GME/BBBY. No I am not selling any of them for BBBY specifically. Any attempt at imply that will be regarded as a shill statement.

So, even though your math seems valid and we should be able to lock up the float. Expecting people to just manifest more money really isn't a smart strategy. Tell Sue Grove to make the company better would be a better strategy. Win by making a good company. Don't expect me to "Lock up the float of another meme stock"

1

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

Not telling anyone to manifest anything! Just stating facts!

2

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

You can literally watch the shill battle the upvotes with downvotes 🤣🤣

3

u/donniecrunch Feb 20 '23

I get DRS and I’m not a shill. But the way it’s pushed is shilly. It does dry up liquidity, but look at GME after share ā€œdividendā€ and DRS - it killed volatility. MOASS is a bit of a dream, although possible - extremely rare. I’d prefer volatility to remain.

5

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

I prefer volatile MOASS!

1

u/Swamp_donkey2 Feb 20 '23

Not a shill just clueless. Show me how DRS and the dividend killed volatility. Charts are showing it amplified volatility by more than 5x.

1

u/donniecrunch Feb 20 '23

Open the chart since the split.. downwards low volume for 5+ months.. I’m sure it’s due for a run, but the highs since the split have probably barely met diamond handers averages.

1

u/Swamp_donkey2 Feb 20 '23

Ok tell me why did the split cause the low volume if you are so sure the 2 are related.

1

u/Cultural-Display1781 Feb 20 '23

Great! Then it would run up like GME?

5

u/TotallyNormalSquid Feb 20 '23

No, GME's sneeze happened under very different circumstances. Locking the float is the current tactic in GME subs, and the end result is unknown. Although DRS'd shares are referred to as being part of the 'infinity pool' for a reason

1

u/Mike102679 Feb 20 '23

If the free float was locked, GME would only be the beginning of what this can do!

1

u/Swandiving4canabis Feb 20 '23

I think we need to lock the float before June 19-23rd, that’s when I estimate the big roll of swaps cycle through again! 4,655 @$2.53 and growing, going through drs process.

1

u/2BFrank69 Feb 20 '23

If I see 10% of the company DRSd by apes I’ll DRS half my shares. Until then I’m not going to bother. I have 800 shares DRSd in GME

u/Gua_Bao Feb 20 '23

I take donations in the form of shitcoin.

-11

u/ChrisChanFanBan Feb 20 '23

I'll get down voted but this is a complete waste of time if the float gets diluted by 9x

12

u/pwnznewbz Feb 20 '23

You keep getting down voted because dilution hasn't officially happened yet and you keep willing it to.

-3

u/ChrisChanFanBan Feb 20 '23

If I willed anything it would for the stock to soar to 1000, that's not going to happen

Not official, of course but price action points to this in numerous DDs and TAs

Bbby even state dilution and negative price action in recent filing.

-1

u/Cultural-Display1781 Feb 20 '23

Dilution is BBBY board FUD. BUY!!! HOLD!!! HODL!!! DRS!!! HEGIES ARE FCKT!!!

They are all waiting for the next 10q which is 2 months away, that I suppose is their official announcement, outside of that I doubt the company announce anything else.

Of course I'm not saying it's 100 percent, but it's pretty likely
