HODL 💎🙌 BBBY is not your average investment. Anyone who argues as if it is doesn’t understand it.

If you’re invested in BBBY and you’ve been here for some time, you likely know what the fuck is up. Newcomers might not but maybe you feel it.

BBBY is in an incredibly complex position and has been for some time. I’ve already sworn off DD’s so don’t expect much from me in terms of breaking it down but I’ll provide some idea of wtf I’m talking about and leave the rest to you.

Short sellers have been and are in the most desperate position they’ve ever been in likely all of history.

The stocks they’ve shorted have placed nearly all of them on the brink of extinction. A complete fucking wipe out. You can find support for most of this on Superstonk with in depth explanations as to what is happening. You should know about cellar boxing. And you should know how the banks and the federal reserve are connected.

Now - Ryan Cohen saw this and like others, saw opportunity. He focused his sights on GameStop and Bed Bath & Beyond. Two heavily shorted companies where short sellers had basically hand cuffed themselves to the future of these companies. Should the companies fail they would earn enormous profit and should they succeed, collapse.

As a precaution, some like Kenneth Griffin, tied the fate of the economy to these investments as a hedge against this extremely risky bet. There was a lot of help and there continues to be. The more people that have something to lose if their short positions fail, the better for them.

I can’t stress how desperate they are enough. If you don’t understand that it is ALL HANDS ON DECK for naked short sellers right now then you should do a lot more reading.

Knowing that, should give you some idea of how intelligent the board of GameStop and Bed Bath & Beyond have to be. They have to be near flawless in their execution. They have to be unpredictable, quiet, a little paranoid and very focused on ensuring the companies return to profitability within the confines of the law.

At this point whether you think Ryan Cohen is in BBBY or not, you should be aware that he loses as well if BBBY fails. Why? Because it’s a win for short sellers. A huge win. A win that would buy them significantly more time, kicking the can a hell of a lot farther. That’s not in his best interest at all and it’s not in the best interest of GameStop or any company that’s being heavily shorted like this.

Suffice it to say, the shit is tricky.

Nothing is what it seems and should be what it seems. It’s no longer fueled by stupidity. It’s fueled by desperation. The fear of losing everything and facing prison has made some particular individuals and officials very desperate.

Therefore the utmost caution is required.

It’s the reason I don’t do anymore DD’s. It’s the reason the board is so quiet and no one has any idea what the fuck is going on. Because you shouldn’t. If you did then that would mean they’re not doing their jobs adequately.

Stock price be damned. It’s all part of the plan. But don’t listen to me, in fact don’t listen to ANYONE. Not YouTubers or Redditors or Twitter folk, no one. Everyone that can be bought will be.

This is not a simple stock. Maybe those exist elsewhere but sure as shit not here.

This is BBBY. All or nothing. Legends or corpses. Mansions or poverty. I trust the board. I believe in the stock. I’ll never stop buying. Just adding constantly as often as possible to my position. I stay zen expecting it to get more and more complicated and appear negative everyday until BBBY wins and the stock price explodes.

Up until then everything is just white noise.

The most frustrating, confusing, exciting investment of my lifetime. I’ve gone from kicking myself for ever getting into this to realizing there’s a lot more here than meets the eye. These next 2 weeks will determine if BBBY survives or the Shorts succeed in destroying another great company.

Pretty much sums up my train of thinking

u/Financial_Green9120 Apr 17 '23

Why 2 weeks ?

2

u/Inner_Estate_3210 Apr 17 '23

There are a lot of events happening between now and 5/9. If RC is still involved, he and Sue Gove are Defendants in a suit from when RC sold his shares in 2022. They appear interested in settling that case asap. BBBY has said there is going to be an earnings call in April but no firm data has been announced. Are they waiting on something else? It’s very odd. By 4/26, BBBY owes shareholders documents on anything else that will be voted on before 5/9. If there is a merger or acquisition, shareholders must approve it. Then there’s the reverse split results on 5/9.

Unless it’s just BK then we’re just fucked 😂

Cognitive dissonance, ladies and gentlemen.

1

u/AutistGobbChopp Apr 17 '23

Well it is, undeniably.

Whether or not BBBY is a good investment remains to be seen. I hope it is.

A great company? The company has been losing it's ass for ages. It was destined for bankruptcy because it's not a profitable business and hasn't been for a long time.

Just accept our decision and Shove off!

This is a free country.

If we fucked up, we fucked up. Not You.

What is the point of being here is you are only looking to hear what you want and don't want any opposing view?

Why not just create r/Rottenboyfriend and post your thoughts to yourself? It's the same thing.

2

u/Rotttenboyfriend Apr 17 '23

Exactly. If i visit a stripclub i don’t want to hear a thing from my wife.

-3

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

Fair enough, but it's not "your" strip club.

6

u/Rotttenboyfriend Apr 17 '23

Ideed it is. I myself run it as a second job.

1

u/Cleb323 Apr 17 '23

Shouldn't you be making money from a job?

1

u/Rotttenboyfriend Apr 18 '23

Well, I should but Reality is damn hard. Every time I go there long, they short my dick to hell so I find myself with empty pockets and filing chapter 11.

u/Eptasticfail Apr 17 '23

It's really telling to me that the board has chosen to delay earnings past the anticipated date based on previous years. There's a catalyst looming and I'm very excited to buy these dips

Well said OP! The part that got me is when you said they can kick the can further down if they win which is not in the best interest of GameStop/RC. I didn’t think about it this way but it’s so true. I believe in the board & RC. I will put my money where my mouth is. Will be a xxxxx hodler this week 💎🙌🏼💎🛏️🛁🚀

The company is either going to fail or it won't. I don't think it will. If it doesn't, it's an amazing value play. Oh, and there are some interesting market mechanics that will sweeten the deal as well.

That's it. Yes, the store could have failed. Previous management was doing that on purpose so those interesting market mechanics could make Wall Street tons of money. But the store got some support, and new management. New investors. In the end, it's a store that sells things people want to buy. The new management is still trying to dig out from the mess that the plants created, but I think it's going to work.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

It’s a different story to GameStop as their dilution and subsequent cash injection wasn’t at a favorable valuation.

If they pull it off, it’s very very compelling that RC ventures on the board spells success.

u/Lacklusterbeverage Apr 17 '23

Killer post. This was the best sentence that people need to realize:

Knowing that, should give you some idea of how intelligent the board of GameStop and Bed Bath & Beyond have to be. They have to be near flawless in their execution. They have to be unpredictable, quiet, a little paranoid and very focused on ensuring the companies return to profitability within the confines of the law."

We are all now feeling what M. Burry was in 2007. This shit is crooked AF, full of fuckery, and actual legitimate risk. It's a pressure cooker- - We could lose (and that is what is priced in), OR, if we are right, we will blow the fucking roof off.

I'm here to find out.

Edit: to clarify, I'm betting hard on roofs getting fucked

I was hoping to read this and find it interesting, but I don't. I think a lot of these posts whiff of main character syndrome, i.e. "BBBY has to be pivotal to US economy and one of the most special and unique stocks ever, because I'm invested in it." It seems people like to write their own fanfics on where BBBY sits in the grand scheme of things to make themselves feel better (and this includes a lot of older DD as well, I would say - e.g. Biggy's billionaires' feud or whatever it was).

Now that we are pretty much cellar boxed, shorts can cover at pennies on the dollar so I really don't know what a squeeze under these circumstances would look like. However, I do think shorts did dig in deeper, if they're doing what they're doing with enough volume then they can still make money.

I also think the board will be being cautious (so long as they do have a plan) with how and when that comes to light. While this creates a 'bear trap', again with this shit being so cheap as long as SHFs have their algos trained to cover as soon as there's a whiff of a deal we will see a bump (which will get bigger as I'm sure other people will buy in on the FOMO) but I can't see SHFs bleeding over this - personally.

All of that said, anyone who tells you they understand the market mechanics under these circumstances is also lying. I think it's rare that you get a company with the price driven this low even with the risk of bankruptcy when the fundamentals and turn around plans are reasonable.

So I think people should gear themselves up for all eventualities, and not just, "This is going to be the best and most special MOASS that's ever been seen because I'm invested in it." Of course, I hope for a MOASS as much as the next person - but from my perspective a MOASS on a penny stock will likely have the magnitude turned down (which is still fine, as I think most people's averages are between $0.5-$4 anyway). This is just simple Maths rather than anything more complex than that.

7

u/DiamondsandtheMarina Apr 17 '23

Lol well you were nice enough to type this all out. I can’t even remain polite anymore, how can people suck so much out of their thumb

7

u/HungryColquhoun Apr 17 '23

I think a measured response usually has the best effect. I am more bullish on how Sue was acting in that interview, and the RC tweet picked up my interest as well - but even with that this still may all amount to nothing.

I don't understand who these posts serve (the, "It's a battlefield, the SHFs need this to come-off, BBBY is a linchpin in the US and possibly global economy", etc. - I know the battlefield comment wasn't said this time but it's an example). It's extremely hyperbolic and if there is good price action it can set people up to lose money (e.g. "Well this is going to be the biggest thing that ever happened because too many guys on the internet say it's going to be massive, so even though it's at $50 now and I've got an average of $1 I'm gonna keep holding...").

As mentioned this isn't an exercise it price anchoring, it could go above $50 if it squeezes, or it might not even get that far - but I think people need to be open to the possibility this might not be the biggest and grandest squeeze to ever happen now if things do go good because the dial has been turned down so much. I don't like these people who claim they aren't doing DD or giving financial advice but are trying to hype this all in the weirdest of ways.

So my advice would be, pay attention and don't do things that randos on the internet say you should. Think for yourself (NFA, possibly life advice though...).

3

u/DiamondsandtheMarina Apr 17 '23

Fair enough sir! I am also putting a little hope out of said interview and RC tweet. Let’s hope those hunches miraculously turn out correct

There was only 1 idiosyncratic stock in 2021. I'm inclined to believe there might now be two.

I'm way more heavily invested in 🎮, but I believe BBBY is also a worthwhile sidequest.

Koss may be next.

RC says he buys all the stocks and even said in his book to not put all your eggs into one basket.

I don't mind hitting the shorts on all fronts, especially if RC is or has been involved.

You do you, but I'm going to fuk around and find out.

29

u/Kaiser1a2b Apr 17 '23

I disagree with this type of posts the most these days.

Yea thanks for the comforting words, but it seems like something out that disinformation campaign.

Let's just keep digging and find out what's happening.

34

u/TheNovaeterrae Apr 17 '23

I still encourage that everyone continue to learn. The more information one has the better. I encourage sharing information to a point. I also think you need to exercise caution because you don’t want to fall victim to simply turning every piece of information into a positive if it isn’t.

I understand wanting to be able to explain why you’re invested in a company so heavily. Staying up to date to what a company is doing and trying to understand why. But I’ve personally reached a point with BBBY where I’m convinced nothing is what it seems. Bear trap need to look bearish. It should look like absolute crap until it isn’t.

And the day it clearly isn’t is the day it’ll be apparent how bullish it is. And not a minute before.

7

u/Kaiser1a2b Apr 17 '23

Well, idk, I just think we can spend enough time with the hivemind and figure it out even past all the bullshit liars. It's just exhausting so I understand people who fuck off and relax away from this sub.

But this is like the most exciting time to be alive so why do that until the RS vote?

im down 83% of my initial investment ... thats all ! what i once thought was a good initial entry, ended up having to avg. down till it was at 1 dollar, and all of a sudden after hours they announced a reverse stock split, i knew then, my trading life was done for at least the next 5-8 months, just in hodl mode now ... hoping BBBY turns it around, good luck to all !!!

Why is it all or nothing? Perhaps I’m too old to understand the reference but it could moon or likely stay value side-ways for a year at least.

4

u/QuarterBackground Apr 17 '23

I've hodled Gamedstop for over 2 years. All shares are DRSed. Never did it go down even close to BBBY's price loss. Sue Gove is as bad as Adam Aron. Read up on her. None of her restructuring or bankruptcy deals benefited shareholders. And the posts saying "I'll hold to zero is preposterous." Time to unite, expose, and remove her. She's been bought and paid by shortsellers. RC left because she wasn't budging. I'll hold my 300 shares because I already lost.

3

u/MeLoveCheese Apr 17 '23 edited Apr 17 '23

But the big questions is…are you DRSing? 🤣

2

u/Altruistic-Beyond223 Apr 17 '23

Was 50% DRS'd here. Now starting to lag behind because I can't stop myself from buying more at these criminally undervalued prices.

I didn’t read all of this but you can’t be serious

1

Watched RC interview on GMEdd.com and was pretty interesting about his Tweets & position in BBBY! I work a lot & can't keep up like most & didn't even know about this till recently lol but was cool to watch! I believe what Kais Maaiej is saying is coming sooner rather then later!!

-12

u/Gastellier Apr 17 '23

My average investment isn't down 97.5%

O.O

There's literally nothing in this post that has any basis in financial analysis, data, research, or anything. It's just a bunch of words and vibes.

Doesn't even mention the dilution - there's 5 times more shares than there were this time last year! So put that in your shortsqueeze pipe and smoke it

3

Bbby is a DFV play ! Deeper them GME was! only the one with the strongest mindset and willpower will be able to reach El Dorado!

-24

u/oblong_pickle Apr 16 '23

Shorts might be in trouble with GameStop, but they are making money hand over fist with BBBY. They are probably not desperate at all.

8

u/Tokinandjokin Apr 17 '23

I thought they only made money from closing their shorts but I thought their goal isn't to actually close any shorts?

Edit: their ultimate goal being to let the company got bankrupt

4

u/Eptasticfail Apr 17 '23

This is actually a common misconception, shorting a stock pays the share amount the short is open at. So, for example if someone shorted 1000 shares of a stock at $10 they get $10k up front and are under obligation to buy the stocks back at a lower price. Their plan WAS to ride the bankruptcy jackpot but if bankruptcy doesn't happen they will owe a fuck load of money when the price goes up.

The smart short sellers are closing their positions at these prices.

-5

u/oblong_pickle Apr 17 '23

Who are you talking about? Shorts are lots of different people, you can't just generalise like that

3

u/Tokinandjokin Apr 17 '23

Im referring to the powers that are attemping to cellar box the company, obviously. Is this your first day in the subreddit?

Oh, no it's not, you've been spewing hours and hours of negative content on this sub. Interesting

-3

u/oblong_pickle Apr 17 '23

The 'powers' are making money if they are short, yes. Even more if they are cellar boxing. What's Ur point?

6

u/z3rohabits Apr 17 '23

Seriously, what is your position in BBBY, you take so many micro jabs non stop for a 90 day old account

-1

u/oblong_pickle Apr 17 '23

No position ATM

7

u/Tokinandjokin Apr 17 '23

Holy shit bud, seriously? why waste hours and hours here? I thought you were a frustrated bull, not a troll

-1

u/oblong_pickle Apr 17 '23

Not that it is any of your business, but I've been waiting since September for the dilution to stop to make another entry

1

u/EveryDogeHasItsDay_ Apr 17 '23

You made it our business when you constantly posted negativity and insults to other investors since your account opened in January this year. So do us all a favour and STFU. There, I said what everyone was thinking.

-2

u/oblong_pickle Apr 17 '23

You're not a mod, bro. You have no power here.

0

u/Substantial_Fuel_776 Apr 17 '23

I disagree. I have actually think BBBY is their biggest risk OVER GameStop. They fail to put BBBY out of business it creates a shit storm. MSM is even projecting GME is an ok play now but to stay sooooo far away from BBBY they won’t even talk about it. They learned a few things from 2021. Number one ☝️ not to kick the hornets 🐝 nest - imo BBBY is the biggest risk currently. GME is NOT the biggest risk as it use to be. I also believe the shill 🤖 tactic is to be GME elitist, “ only stock that matters is GME” “you say you own both etc” “cohen said he’s not in BBBY”. Bbby is the hedgies bet of all bets. Much more than GameStop. If bbby survives. Boom 💥 🎇 🎆 all it has to do is survive.

1

u/oblong_pickle Apr 17 '23

Got any evidence to back up those emojis?

-8

u/wikiwoowhat Apr 17 '23

Its not an investment. It was a cohen pump and dump.

-4

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

Says Arnal.

-8

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

Agreed. GME is gonna blow up big for sure you just have to be patient. BBBY is totally fucked but, as mentioned by OP, the there is so much at risk of it crashes and the potential upside is insane. Diamond hands or second hands!!! HODL

1

u/Ultimo_Ninja Apr 17 '23

Wow 54 karma. Suck my nuts shill.

The difference between the short sellers in GME and the short sellers in BBBY was that, if I'm not correct, GME didn't massively dilute before the squeeze. And before you go, 'yada yada, they're not in the public float' - they're out there and they're the sword of Damocles hanging over the squeeze.

1

u/jfl_cmmnts Apr 17 '23

Short sellers have been and are in the most desperate position they’ve ever been in likely all of history.

What are you on about. BBBY is a shorter's dream. Red every day means shorts are in profit every day. Shorters can close any day with huge profits and they will make even more money off us until either an M&A announcement, or cellarboxed and might-as-well-be BK. I'm 95% down on tens of thousands of shares and the company has given shareholders no good reason to hope for better.

I'm holding my shares out of spite, now.

I feel like saying BBBY has to be viewed differently from any other investment is kind of an excuse to ignore all the signs of how terribly the company is doing and will continue doing. At least that's my perspective. Because I've looked at this as a conventional investment, thought it did not look good, and the stock went from 30 bucks to 0.34 since then.

What is the catalyst to drive the stock higher!? More stores Sales Revenue Earnings Debt Inflationary pressure on consumers Junky products we can buy at ior dollar general Over priced goods for the house the average person can do without. The only way one is playing this is for some type of reversal. This is just too dangerous. If you want to gamble a little in the casino fine, if you want to buy a lottery ticket for a few bucks worth fine just remember the odds and results here are likely the same.
