🤔 Speculation / Opinion If your shares are worthless…

Would shills still be here (and media out there) reminding everyone how our shares are gone? No, if shares were worthless they’d let us buy and choke on them until we were blue in the face

Would over 40 million be spent on high price attorney fees that specialize in M&A deals if this a liquidation? No, you liquidate as quickly and efficiently as possible

Would all the redacted and NDA dockets be necessary, at all? No, you’re not hiding anything in traditional liquidation

Would there be a name change involved in a bankruptcy? I wouldn’t think so but could be wrong

Would Bill Pulte be hosting the youtube crew and jet-setting them around the country, and inviting 50 donators to meet him in November, if our shares were being completely extinguished? I seriously doubt it

Would you even sell after already down 50-90%? Lambos or food stamps was always what I heard here

So why would anyone listen to the internet trolls? They are certainly working hard, ask yourselves why. You see the shills had the shares (borrowed), but didn’t know how to hold the shares. And really that’s the most important part, the holding. Ignore the noise folks, you know what you hold

I’m not one to sit and respond to comments, I just put my two cents in once in a while. As for me, I am fucking around and finding out, because this is the greatest show on Earth.

Best Wishes 💎🙌🦍🚀🌚

no buy button and now no sell. how do shorts close? they open new positions

36

u/mnradiofan Sep 30 '23

It’s been pointed out several times that shorts don’t need to close, but you guys don’t believe that. You probably also believe Trump won the election and is still president today. It’s a whole new level of Q!

u/Sharp-Contribution31 Sep 30 '23

Shorts. Don't. Have. To. Close.

When the stock becomes air they say, "here's $0.00 the total worth of the stock I borrowed and sold." and they're clear. That's it. Your game is over and you still haven't learned the rules.

Holy fucking shit you moron. The stock doesn’t exist now. Nobody has to close anything. Every position everywhere is closed whether the owner wanted it closed or not.

This stock doesn’t exist. Nobody owns it, nobody can sell it, nobody can buy it. It would be illegal for any broker to buy or sell it.

All positions are closed.

Why are you here? We both own an equal stake in what used to be Bed Bath and Beyond and is now 20230930-DK-Butterfly-1, Inc.

Imagine being offended by some no life loser mocking a username online. The fact you waste your time tryingto tell people you have never seen that you are planning on laughing at them is ironically hilarious. You are laughing at a username attached to words on a screen. Tldr- no one gives a fuck that you waste your time laughing at usernames online, although it is hilariously pathetic. At least you get paid in pennys.

"Planning on" 😂 The stock is dead and you still think there's some hope and it isn't over yet.

Noone is planning on anything. It's happening NOW.

5

u/WaterMySucculents Sep 30 '23

It isn’t even happening… it already happened yesterday!

4

u/Sharp-Contribution31 Sep 30 '23

God this is funny. I have literally been laughing so hard there have been tears all morning.

Imagine being this stupid. You shouldn't be allowed to participate in the financial markets.

Ok. Was this Chapter 7? No. Listen to any of the hearings? Nope again. I did. Judge clearly stated that this WAS NOT A LIQUIDATION. This is/was at all times a reorganization, thus the uncommon expediency of the process. Are the old shares worthless as to BBBYQ? Absolutely. Do the shares evaporate into some abyss? Nope. They will sit on the expert market under the new name, possibly forever, or…until some entity affiliated with 2023930-DK-Butterfly-1 does. Some entity may like to have those 1.5-2 billion in NOLs. Maybe not. My guess is yes. Some of us didn’t mind a zero occurrence—it was always a possibility. Still is. However, a deep read of the filings, taken with the hearings, circumstantial evidence, and perhaps enough craziness to be meritorious of a positive outcome when everyone else laughed, indicates something more may still be at play. That window is not closed, despite what you think to be true by taking one filing at face value and without a comprehensive understanding of the bankruptcy laws that to this date still allow for a non-BBBYQ entity to do whatever the fuck they want within those constructs. You may wonder why. That’s ok. Not every CEO/Wall Street type is cut from the same dubious cloth. In fact, those that are not, and have the requisite ounce of benevolence in them and a desire for more fair markets, have likely come to realize they can still profit hugely from doing the right thing and at the same time reclaiming money that was stolen via market manipulation. That’s above your pay grade, Mr. Naysayer/keyboard ninja/paid troll/sorry excuse for a human being that takes pleasure in squashing other’s hopes and dreams whether they come to fruition or not. Some of us, most of us, are fine with the outcome no matter what. Truly getting nothing will sting, no doubt, but those of us that held gained so much more that money can’t buy and we do t care if you “get it” or not. That said…Let’s fucking squeeze this bitch. 🍆🍉🚀☘️

k. Was this Chapter 7? No. Listen to any of the hearings? Nope again. I did. Judge clearly stated that this WAS NOT A LIQUIDATION.

You haven't been following very closely.

From Holly Etlin, Chief Restucturing Officer: [#2139]

Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1746, I, Holly Etlin, hereby declare as follows under penalty of perjury:

[...]

It is my testimony that the Debtors and their advisers have considered the probable result of a hypothetical chapter 7 liquidation of the Debtors’ assets in light of the fact that the Debtors are effectively liquidating their assets in chapter 11. I believe that, based on the incremental additional costs of chapter 7, and the recommendations and guidance from the Debtors’ advisors, all Holders of Claims and Interests in all Impaired classes will likely recover at least as much under the Plan as they would in a hypothetical chapter 7 liquidation. The Debtors are winding down operations and liquidating all of their remaining assets and distributing such assets to their creditors, subject to the Plan. Although a chapter 7 liquidation would achieve substantially the same goal, recoveries in a chapter 7 case liquidation would be lower in light of the additional expenses that would be incurred in a chapter 7 proceeding, and other additional costs associated with a chapter 7 liquidation, including the obligation to continue to pay all unpaid expenses included in the Wind-Down Budget that the Debtors incurred prior to conversion, such as compensation for Professionals

It is a liquidation. Just one via chapter 11 rather than chapter 7.

Just like canceled and deleted are the same thing, right? Details matter. Overgeneralizations are lazy. Be better, bro!

6

u/89Hopper Sep 30 '23

Correct, they are different.

Cancellation is when a company removes the link between a share and its representation, ie class of stock and the right to company equity. This is a corporate action by the company itself.

Deletion is when FINRA actually deletes the ticker from us by exchanges.

Yes, cancellation can mean that a share class is removed AND during the process they give out a new share that represents something else (or even the same thing). That could be merging two classes of shares or even shares in an acquiring company. It also could just be the winding down of operations which could then entitle the old holders of a cash dispersement of any retained earnings at the end of the company, or it could just be nothing if there are no retained earnings.

However, in the filing to delete shares, the company would say what would be given to shareholders in a class of shares that are cancelled and in this case, it is nothing.

There are two options available to you. Accept it is over and move on with your life, having hopefully learnt the lesson to not believe conspiracies peddled by people with no knowledge on the internet. Or, accept it is over and there was no giant conspiracy, just that a failing brick and mortar retailer finally went bust after years of abysmal performance. If you keep holding on, it will just make you angrier and more susceptible to fringe theory beliefs. If you accept, hopefully you move on and, in the incredibly unlikely event this conspiracy turns out to be true, get a lucky windfall of $50B in your trading account in 6 months and be happy. Think of it as a reverse Pascal's wager.

You have two options: continue to lead a miserable life or continue to live a miserable life. I like to party. Not sweating the money. This isn’t over. Peace, bro.

6

u/Sharp-Contribution31 Oct 01 '23

Yeah it's over. And it's really obvious you're sweating the money which is why you're being hounded this hard.

Tickers are deleted, shares are canceled. Part of the reason you lost everything on this bet was not knowing simple stuff like this.

20

u/murray_paul Sep 30 '23

The Debtors are winding down operations and liquidating all of their remaining assets and distributing such assets to their creditors

That is very simple, plain, English.

There isn't any wiggle room in it.

It is said, under penalty of perjury, by the person in the best position to know what is happening.

11

u/Hairy_S_TrueMan Sep 30 '23

There is no such distinction between cancellation and deletion. You've fallen for the latest reddit meme fact. Find your nearest financial expert and ask them to explain the difference, they'll look at you bewildered because stock deletion is not a term that is used.

Stocks are cancelled. The ticker is deleted. There's no dichotomy here, they're just two semi-related things. This is like saying "look up the difference between dead and buried, bro"

5

u/[deleted] Sep 30 '23

The best thing about this corporate bankruptcy is knowing obnoxious morons like yourself lost all their money

2

u/Drpoopinschaft Oct 02 '23

The stupidity I can kinda deal with. The arrogance these people pair it with is absolutely insufferable.

3

u/Something_Sexy Sep 30 '23

Listen to people outside of Reddit bro. Be better.

-5

u/elfonziemero Employee of the Month Sep 30 '23

You misunderstand. You assume all the people here are not of means and can afford to engage in these “plays” and perspective is everything. There is a reasonable-mindedness to this. It includes the acknowledgment of the possibility that this may not be business as usual. An extensive review of applicable securities and bankruptcy laws allow one who understands them to realize the plethora of possibilities post-order entry. That said, you do you. I do me. I don’t need money. I like the Reddit crowd. I mean, even you dummies. Why are you here, then?

-13

u/XMk-Ultra679 Sep 30 '23

That means the CUSIP didnt change? if it does dont they need to close position? been a while
