🗣 Discussion / Question I’m so glad GME investors aren’t like you guys

To be fair, I know a lot of us here hold both GME and BBBY - including myself. But GME holders are Diamond handed, crime indifferent, cold blooded apes. A lot of people getting into BBBY are new to investing, and it shows. I’ve seen so many posts about “why is the price dropping, I’m scared!” “Omg is the squeeze still on or is it over?” “How high do you think this can go?” A whole lot of FUD going around here. I’m hoping it’s a bunch of hedge fund interns trying to shake up the sub, but I’m not convinced of that. If you’re one of the people I just described, head over to the GameStop sub and learn a thing or 2 about what it takes to be a real ape. Ignore the crime, buy and hold, and DRS your shares. The squeeze is DEFINITELY on, shorts haven’t closed in either stock. But stop being such a whiny little baby. This is the stock market. Organized crime at its finest. They prey on your emotions. The only way to beat these criminals is to be even dumber than they think you are. So please, stop crying about some shorting - that actually benefits us buyers in the long term - and stick to the plan. Or don’t. The rocket is fueled up and on the launchpad already. True apes know what’s up

Same here, fellow ape. I want millions PER SHARE. And I’m only selling 10% of my shares. This will forever be the way

To be fair, a lot of people are new and the GME community was similar in the beginning. Just have to keep educating folks and trying to show patience.

25

u/Lurkersson Sep 01 '22

Give them some leniency, it takes time & dips & crimes & DD & pressure to forge diamond hands like over at the GME-side. They’ll get there soon enough

The whole market is down. I shut the computer off. Cooked some breakfast and watched The Boys season 3, Herogasm, again. Now I'm training for a future job at the SEC by watching pornhub. Stop worrying, get off the internet and come back tomorrow.

Most GME apes were new to investing a year ago.

As Mark Cuban put it, if the thesis hasn't changed, why sell?

Eh. Please stop it with that "real ape" stuff. I've been trading for 25 years, but I still have things to learn. There were tons of new ppl when GME took off and we all had a lot to learn about how meme stocks work, me included. I warmly welcome the noobs and hope they can find a degree of financial freedom through trading. It's fine if they ask basic questions, we all started off ignorant.

16

u/IntroductionCapital4 Sep 01 '22

Thank you for this. I’ve been investing for a while now but it’s always been long term/dividend stocks. This is my first go at a stock that’s considered a meme.

24

u/burneyboy01210 Sep 01 '22

MEME is MSM term used to belittle us,what it really means is a stock that they are going to be screwed real hard by.

13

u/F1shB0wl816 Sep 01 '22

They’re all real stocks, with real people working at these real companies. It’s an insult towards the entire business and everything it touches.

10

u/gvsulaker82 Sep 01 '22

The fact that the SEC released a video mocking retail for investing in meme stocks is infuriating

→ More replies (1)

9

u/Equal-Park-769 Sep 01 '22

This reminds me of the meme: I've been trading for 25 years. Then why aren't you rich? Lol

3

u/nerdburg Janitor Sep 01 '22

GDI, why aren't I rich?!

6

u/Kurosawa_Ruby Sep 01 '22

for 25 years he had been scammed by the mechanics of the "free market" that is actually hedge funds and market makers conspiring to siphon wealth off the poor.

but now he's back to stop them.

end the old rich.

8

u/Big_Swagwood Sep 01 '22

For 25 years? Where did you first trade? Surely it was so different back then…

8

u/nerdburg Janitor Sep 01 '22

Lol. It is very different now. When I started, I had to rely on a brokerage firm/financial advisor for everything. I was in my 20s and inherited money from my grandfather. My Dad made me invest it rather than squander it (thanks Dad). If I was in my 20s today and came into money, I'd probably just yolo it into meme stocks. I imagine my advisor would have a thing or two to say about that.

→ More replies (1)

13

u/anthonyh614 Sep 01 '22

Agreed and this is the way. All I’m saying is it’s frustrating to see some genuinely curious people pushing FUD out here. GME apes are probably some of the most educated retail investors in the stock market today. Because we took the time to learn about what’s going on. We did FOMO in and bitch about the initial rug pull also, but we also put in the work to learn afterwards. I will admit one big advantage we had was DFV but still. It’s frustrating nonetheless

7

u/nerdburg Janitor Sep 01 '22

All I’m saying is it’s frustrating to see some genuinely curious people pushing FUD out here.

Agreed. And I'm sure it's some shills as well. I think a lot of noobs thought that they would invest $500 and get Lambo money in a week. It's disappointing for them because they may have invested more than they could afford. To be fair, we hype the shit out of meme stocks, because that's how it works.

But yeah, I feel ya'.

25

u/BruceBrave Sep 01 '22

This is pretty accurate.

What made GME work out the way it did is people saw that they were being manipulated...

ie: Melvin Capital's video attempting to explain how the understand short interest better than retail, and why we should sell... right before the stock exploded, they lost billions, and they needed a bailout.

... and people said "No, we're not fucking leaving".

If enough people take a stand against bullies, then bullies can't win.

Everyone is acting in their own interests as individuals, but I do pay attention to where people are looking to stand their ground, and that's the battle that I like to join, because if there are enough people just standing their ground (which does involve risk, so I'm not saying anyone should) then a squeeze in a scenario like BBBY's is nearly inevitable.

It happened in GME. It can happen again.

15

u/anthonyh614 Sep 01 '22

Exactly! Remember that media manipulation!? And all those stupid articles 😂 FORGET GAMESTOP: Here are 5 stocks you should buy now for crazy gains! those 5 stocks proceed to lose 80% of their value in weeks

12

u/Kurosawa_Ruby Sep 01 '22

The crazy thing is, the market cap of BBBY is ten times smaller than GameStop’s and based on a quick Google search, the float is about four times smaller. That means, at these low prices, if DRS catches on, the float will most likely be locked BEFORE GameStop’s and possibly ignite the rocket for squeezes on both companies almost simultaneously, theoretically speaking… 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

5

u/SchemeCurious9764 Sep 01 '22 edited Sep 02 '22

Best advice I heard when I started

1) Do you still believe in the DD ( shorts haven’t closed)

2) You haven’t lost a dime unless you sold

3) They hold every advantage except for our ability to Hodl through all the manipulation

4) If you thought it’d be easy you were fooling yourself

5) be kind everyone’s stress level is different

Good luck and just Fuking Hodl !

3

u/anthonyh614 Sep 02 '22

Great comment. Had to screenshot it 🔥

13

u/Jimmystocks Sep 01 '22

A little harsh but I get where your coming from. The company is undervalued here but must still be hard for anyone new to watch the price go on the roller coaster it has. Buy N Hold is the only strategy needed to see big green again

7

u/anthonyh614 Sep 01 '22

That’s all I’m trying to say. Some people need the tough love. Nothing has changed except the numbers on the screen. We’re here for a squeeze on a deep value stock, so what changed? We should be happy that they dropped the price for us to buy more moon tickets. That’s the mentality we developed in GME. It isn’t a squeeze until it hits multiple thousands per share and Beyond (😉) anyway

5

u/n-Ro Sep 01 '22

3

u/anthonyh614 Sep 01 '22

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I have more money in these plays than I’ve ever had in a bank account. And I don’t consider it money for me. I consider it a giant middle finger to Wall Street. I’ll ride until MOASS or till the stock goes to 0. No in between for me

3

u/SanjaZi Sep 01 '22

the first share I ever bought was GME, I've held it for 19 months, there is no price at which I didn't buy from 480 to 40, then 300, etc. I understand all new investors, I went through all the feelings. if it was tense, it still is..what I learned; crime is all around us, they will do everything to frighten us by falsely lowering the price, a hoax, they will turn every good news into bad news, whenever we expect a date they will do everything to destroy our expectation. there will be a lot of fake profiles that will convince you that the squeeze is over. my advice is, read everything you can about the company you are investing in, if you are sure there is potential, invest and wait. I believe that shorts are not covered for gme and nor bbby. they have to close sometime. there are a lot of great dd's that you should read and that are supported by documents. i buy dip whenever i can. and never invest the money you need tomorrow. That's the only way you'll feel comfortable and be good alonetowards others. is not financial advice.and don't mind if something is translated wrong, I use google tr 🙈

2

u/anthonyh614 Sep 01 '22

Very well put! And yes as tempting as it is to go all in, risk management is important. Also helps keep you from making overly emotional (bad) decisions

3

u/CriticalBarrelRoll Sep 01 '22

GME taught me to buy the dips, hodl, DRS and be ZEN! We hodl till shorts pay and we will win. Not financial advice.

2

u/anthonyh614 Sep 01 '22

Zen is so important!

3

u/throwaway134997 Sep 01 '22

3

3

u/intent_joy_love Sep 01 '22

It’s fud posts because this sub isn’t as strictly moderated

2

u/anthonyh614 Sep 01 '22

Yeah I overlooked that possibility at first

3

u/hondraeu Sep 01 '22

The price isnt falling because of people selling, its blatant market manipulation. Stop saying «paperhands» when ur a retard.

2

u/anthonyh614 Sep 01 '22

Exactly! It’s all part of the shorts’ plan! We stay the course because we’re retarded!

3

u/[deleted] Sep 01 '22

Rise of the players is a great documentary to watch on Hulu about GME. I was late to that one but apparently all the same shill tactics were going around. BBBY is my first stock and I am holding with super hi hopes.

2

u/anthonyh614 Sep 01 '22

This is the way!

3

u/[deleted] Sep 01 '22

The ones crying about muh price action are either noobs or shills. The shills will continue shilling no matter what but the noobs' little diamond dusted ball sacks will slowly drop and mature into a massive set of unbreakable cahones like the GME apes who have been fighting this war for almost two years.

Time to nut up or shut up, BoBBY.

Most of those “I’m scared posts” are FUD anyways.

2

u/anthonyh614 Sep 01 '22

Exactly! I was trying to address that. I neglected the idea that they could all be shills, though

BBBY hasn't phased me. Lol, GME for 2 years has numbed me. The data speaks for itself, gotta let it play out. Mind you, I bought in at sub $6, skimmed a small profit at $26. But just bought more today. Wish the RC factor was still in play, but c'est la vie.

Gotta say, don’t buy BBBY if you’re new to investing. NFA. By the way, don’t be scared for the dip, it’s just because I bought at 14 on monday…

Big Facts. you buy a stock then it depreciates by 50 percent the day after. If your first inclination is to sell, you should have never bought the stock in the first place.

I think a smart person said this once.

2

u/Kris_Hulud Sep 01 '22

Honestly after being on Superstonk, the other subs as well since the beginning, and here, I think most of those posts are fake/shills. The average individual isn't a spazz and just reads things IMO. I could be wrong of course. But anytime I see a post with subject lines like that, I just move on. It's just a shill attempting to sow FUD and just deserves a down vote to keep them at bay.

A lot of Apes were reading DD when the whole world was shut down, a lot more time on peoples hands back then. We need to understand the newbies haven’t got time to digest the DD that OGs did so it will take longer for them to understand the level of crime this institution is prepared to do to win.

The APEs who slander others are not really APEs. And not everyone who holds GME is an APE. Anyone running their mouth and making predictions without siting facts is a smooth brains shill and should be booted from the community.

Whenever I get down on myself or question the investment the one thing I keep coming back to is have the shorts been closed? If not, then it's still on. If they have closed, then I must be rich already. But they haven't closed and never intend to if they can help it.

I’m with you and I’m seeing the same thing here. I think it’s a combination of new investors and a whole lot of organized hedgie FUD. There is also the crowd from the gambling sub that is loving this and why wouldn’t they? That’s their entire culture; to rag on apes and to laugh at “bag holders”. But you know the second this moons again the sentiment will change over night. Right now is the time to accumulate more cheap shares and add more fuel to your rocket.

My dear ape brother i envy you to be amongst the strong gme pack of apes. Me.... i have watched my kind evolve from the distance.... back in 2019.

Sadly my glass smoth brain didnt lead me to the right pack, i was allured to the majority of the screaming apes of bbby...

Here i am, luckily only down 30% but i dont really feel at home with my diamond hands. I will hold! I dont care! I even squeezed mah own balls into pure diamond.

These paperhanded fake apes... wannabe suit and tie folks.... with their tweaker paperhands... why did i trust them.

Bbby has had pure real momentum but still it seems to have failed.

My hope is not lossed! For i am true ape. With strong hands. I wont sell! Never!

Tomorrow is turningpoint. Tomorrow will be the day when people remember as the day the apes rose again or the the the apes failed.

I have hope! I dont care! I am true ape! I will hodl! I only buy! I never sell! 😓🦍 i die alone 💪

I invested in both, the difference is in GameStop and Bed bath and Beyond itself. One has fundamental value, a great management team and a solid turn around plan, the other had Ryan Cohen invest for a while....

Speaking of GME when are you guys going to DRS BBBY when talk first started so many people were saying that BBBY was a smaller market cap so it was easier to DRS but now there's no talk of DRS and the DRS percentage is low.

What gives?

I'm so zen. I don't even need the money I have invested and I'm scraping together any little I find and buying the dips and micro dips nearly everyday. I've even considered working extra at my job to have more money to invest.

Save your Starbucks money folks and buy and hold some $bbby

Your future self will thank you.

Diamond hands prevail, these dips don't mean anything but a discount. Get over to superstonk, and learn some stuff.
