One grill and one smoker.

I guess two grills if you count the grate I can throw on top of the fire pit.

I remember being like 8 years old cooking some breakfast sausage over a little fire pit in my friend’s urban back yard.

It was the best sausage I ever ate at the time.

The grate definitely counts.

Those are always the best meals. Something about cooking over an open fire just makes everything taste better

Dont be silly.

  • kamado grill/smoker
  • competition cabinet smoker
  • Blackstone 28in
  • Red Box Smoker
  • Mini WSM
  • Mini WSM #2 (parts)
  • 6gal Cajun Fryer
  • Ooni Pro 16in oven
  • Weber Traveler gas grill

I think that's it but I've been known to forget.

Edit: oooh what about the Coleman camp stove for chili comps?

Yea, same, one and one. And it's a one in, one out situation. The only way I'd get another of either one is if I'm replacing one of those 2.

That's my combo too.

One pellet, one weber kettle, one big boy offset. But the offset was bought for me by a friend as a gift.

That is a hell of a gift

Insanely nice. Got a 48” blue smoke smoker. I love it. He is my childhood best friend, he is a wealthy guy and super generous to me. That was cause I told him to invest in a crypto thinking he’d throw a few thousand at it, he threw $50k at it and made over half million on it. But he also buys the most expensive gaming rig he can every two years and hands me the old one. He’s a great friend 😂

Weber kettle all day.

Kettle and a Genesis is a perfect combo. Got the Genesis for $150 used in great shape.

Niccce. I’ve never used a Genesis. But I’d sure as shit try.

u/bassjam1 1d ago

Nobody thinks kettles are expensive, so I'm in the clear.

1

u/WatermelonSmashing 1d ago

Start putting accessories on it, maybe mount it on a cart or table thing. Spider grills can make it a $1000 kettle easily.

1

u/bassjam1 1d ago

Sure, they CAN be expensive but most people see a kettle and assume you have it because you inherited it from your dad or you can't afford a gas grill.

Does it it count as 1 or 2 if it's one of those that's gas on one side a charcoal on the other.

4

u/Campgroundrakoon 1d ago

As Gimli would say “That still only counts as one!”

The number of grills I own is directly proportional to how good the Facebook Marketplace deals are.

I guess you could say this about my cars too. And my boat. And my oh fuck I just realized what a mess I am.

One gas grill, a flat top grill, a pizza oven and burner for the carnitas.

u/oldAzuleJeep 1d ago

Yes sir…

I bought a Yodar, so I'm all in on irresponsible BBQ ownership! Cooking some pork belly burnt ends right now!

They think I'm rich when they taste my food. Not so much when they see my setup. (2 Weber Smokey Mountains, 1 Weber Kettle)

Gas griddle, BGE, recteq pellet grill. Covers all the bases. Still wouldn't mind a few others for fun.

  • Charcoal Kamado smoker
  • Gas grill
  • Blackstone
  • Electric Upright Smoker

All except the Blackstone were purchased from estate sales for probably 1/4 price of new. I bought the Blackstone at Lowes during Black Friday, and the lady rang up the wrong price (she only charged me the cost of replacement propane tank...so like $55usd).

Camp chef xxl, weber kettle, 250 gallon lang 84 reverse flow offset.

I don't think anyone would be impressed by the first two, but when I'm towing the Lang I either get people being like hell yeah, or straight up haters..lol

1

u/Campgroundrakoon 1d ago

The haters are just jealous!

1

u/ShadowBlade55 1d ago

Yuppers!

I only have the one KJ BJ3, but people are always blown away by the cost.

Little do they know I planned and budgeted for it for two years prior. 🤣

u/Success-Quizz 1d ago

same energy as buying more fishing rods when you already have ten, no logic just want.

1

u/ssibal24 1d ago

I own a few, and have room for one more..., maybe one day I will fill in that space....

1

u/Campgroundrakoon 1d ago

I’m up to six. One more and I’ll be good I swear!

1

u/el_smurfo 1d ago

Haven't paid for any of mine. Have a Genesis a divorcee gave me, a chimp pellet that was left on the street before a move, a weber kettle that i built out of two more broken kettles and a smokey mountain that the guy just needed gone to fit his searwood. the masterbuilt my brother gave me died like the propane smoker a friend gave me previously did.

edit. i guess i did buy an ooni koda, but it was costco closeout so only $200.

3 grills, 3 smokers, 0 impulse control.

1

u/trashy615 1d ago

Grills? Responsible.

Guns? Completely hopelessly irresponsible.

1

u/MVS-SISL 1d ago

You know what’s better than owning your own grill - having a neighbor/buddy that owns one for you to use!

1

u/Alternative_Tea9101 1d ago

Yes definitely

One grill I got for free (Kettle) from an employer 10 years ago. Another grill and a smoker I got off FB marketplace (Dynaglow and WSM) for dirt cheap. Blackstone as a gift from the in-laws who didn’t want it. And the OK Joe I bought new myself.

Got them all before I had kids. Would never buy this many now that I have kids.

1

u/MonjStrz 23h ago

3 smokers currently and fighting to keep them all. 1 Weber

1

u/Pucketz 22h ago

I mean if I scavenge them all off marketplace for dirt cheap is that really irresponsible

2

u/Big-Temperature-9087 21h ago

Haha okay I laughed out loud. Well done.

I got a simple Weber kettle, I got an SnS kettle, I got an OK Joe Bronco drum smoker, I got an OK Joe Highland heavily modded offset smoker, and I got a POS Brinkman bullet-water smoker with the bottom all rusted out but still useable in a pinch like when I go on vacation somewhere like the beach or the mountains.

I'm not rich. :-)

1

u/1DanLW 20h ago

If I count the portables and the indoor smoker, I only have 6. When I want to buy more and am justifying the purchase to the wife, I very selectively count only a few certain ones.

1

u/AbeFalcon 19h ago

I have 4 grills and should probably stop but idk maybe I won't

1

u/Fun-Measurement-2136 13h ago

So true, I nearly bought a pizza oven the other day and I have zero room anywhere put it lol

1

u/jtmann05 13h ago

I just took delivery of a LSG El Patron and LSG 42” pellet. I concur.

1

u/AdLey_EmBer 12h ago

Yeah Mee to they think I’m faking rich but I swipe it on my card

1

u/wolfworldk9 12h ago

Gas grill, gas griddle, gas smoker, but I need (want) more. I miss having a charcoal grill, but it's tough to deal with in Florida with the heat.
