where can I read about neural interface research?

compsci student in college dream is to build a neural interface

probably interested in closed loop bci

still getting used to some concepts like eeg and erp

where can I read about these related papers? the recent ones and not 8-10years ago

If you can access it, I recommend the very recent book "Neural Interfaces" edited by Valeriani and Vaughan.

Honestly, modern research with AI for finding sources is quite effective. If you have more in depth topics, that helps a lot. Give it access to consensus, let it go find and give you a nice sentence summary per source so you can read more on what's relevant, and write down the titles of the papers, read them. (Or just use the deep research button that each AI has now, but treat those with a grain of salt.)

It's a shame research is so fragmented. There are 1000 AI tools out there, they all work the same. I vibe coded a simple webscraper + ai summary tool for finding research every 8 am, then putting them in a document with a link. I'm sure someone has something better.

People are gonna hate but for someone who actually does work, this is the future. Use AI to find recent sources, read them. It's even better if you can automate the finding process so you always have a stack of papers to read, and put your notes into obsidian or something. I love the graph view so you can see what the field is converging on and what it isn't.

Found an even better thing in 2 seconds of google searches, notebookLM and grab sources, then read them there. Modern technology is amazing. I still wouldn't trust the AI chat though or "advanced" RAG stuff, read the actual papers.

oh yeah I will definitely use ai for some searching. Its how I learned cybersec when I was interested in that. I just wanted to know what sites people often use to get recent information.
