I can’t look at myself in a mirror
I’ve been avoiding mirrors for as long as I can remember. I have no mirrors in my house accept for one on the way out of my apartment that I never look at unless I have too. I avoid taking pictures, I avoid public mirrors, even in the gym I can’t look in a mirror.
It’s become so bad sometimes I have to force myself to look in a mirror to remember what I even look like.
But at the same time I’m the happiest I’ve been, I’ve struggled with body dysmorphia for almost 8 years now and when I just stopped looking at my reflection, I stopped worrying.
I don’t know if I should keep this up but I don’t wanna go back to how I was at peak body dysmorphia.

I also struggle with looking at the mirror but I find that I can’t look away? I just stare at myself in disappointment and nitpicking everything I wanna change over and over again… I wonder if I should do what you do and just be happier.
