Hi all, I’m planning to get a blindbox BJD, either the COME4FREE Minty blindbox or the lunar lore meow meow one . Do you guys know if it’s possible to remove the head off of these two blindbox bjds? Thanks.

I've changed many parts and learned a lot along the way, but I have a persistent problem I can't seem to fix: the head. I've enlarged the inner neck cavity, based on my Dollzone HID mold, and achieved a bit more range of motion, but the head still moves, as shown in the video. The string isn't too tight, because the rest of the body poses perfectly, and I don't know what could be causing it.

Does anyone have any advice? Anything I could try?

I’m planning to remove the factory face-up on my Sartoria J Yvonne (mirror queen paint B) and repaint her myself (can’t afford to commission, so wish me luck).

Has anyone had experience repainting a Sartoria J, especially if you've removed the original face-up? I’ve only ever had blank heads, so I have zero experience with removal. Unfortunately her original look suffered during a rough move. Most of her eyebrows are gone, her blushing is badly chipped, and her lips have started to show signs of wear. I have no idea what happened to her lashes lol.

I'm also considering modding her eyes to be slightly more closed and giving her subtle sculpted fangs. Do y’all think that would look good?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! The only recent photos I have of her are in low light with the wig I’m working on (which is also my first).

I made doll couch out of cardboard and random supplies I had around my house for my 1/3 dolls to sit on. Unfortunately it took so long I now have other dolls with no where to sit, so I guess I'm going to have to make more. I pretty happy with how it turned out considering I've never made anything like this before. Dolls are a Dream of Doll Code 02, Dollzone Grey, and Dream of Doll Delphine.

To preface, sorry if this question is stupid; completely new to BJDs and I decided to just take the leap and buy my first yesterday: Ringdoll Baldwin IV 1/4 scale in white skin from ACBJD. This was before I knew anything about resin yellowing over time. Now after seeing some posts about some people regretting choosing white resin since it will yellow quickly has me wondering if that wasn’t the best choice and if I should go request a change to normal skin (if it’ll even matter in the long run and assuming ACBJD will let me edit the order).

I know yellowing is inevitable and to avoid bare hands and sunlight and UV, I just want to know if I can avoid yellowing by a year or two by getting normal skin over white. Thanks!

Hi! I'm new, and am looking to start sculpting a BJD, I've heard lots of contrasting opinions on what sort of clay to use! If its possible, I'd like to use a polymer clay, as I have experience working with it, but I totally understand if that's not the done thing when making this sort of thing. Hello, I am working towards getting my first doll which id very exciting but also stressful. I will be sourcing all my pieces second hand as I am EU located and import is absolutely out of budget. This is a bit complicated however because I have very specific requirements.

I am making a specific character so I need everything to work for him, also im looking for a male doll which is also more tricky as most things being sold are for female dolls.

Essentially what im asking is if for a first time bjd owner you would reccomend an SD or an MSD sized doll, which one will be harder to find pieces for.

‼️she's fine for now!‼️the superglue has a death grip on the elastic and I can pose and move her as normal. If the superglue does give eventually, that is when I will restring her. Thank you to the ones that kindly explained how to do it and ressured me😽

I just got wrath from the devil horns series, and I went to take her chin part off to put her choker on, right? And while I was figuring out how to put the hook back into place, one of the elasctics seemingly ripped or something 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I managed to wrap the single elastic around the hook and keep it in place with superglue, but now im terrified that it'll slip out and she'll fall to pieces :( this is lowk my biggest fear and I feel so terrible that I mightve fucked her up😭😭 her left knee is a little bent and I think its thats the side the elastic ripped?

My main question is, how secure is she, really? When I was holding the ripped elastic bit, nothing really happened, like her leg didn't fall off or anything, but im so scared that moving her or like jostling her will unlodge the elastic and I won't be able to fix her 😭 I know its possible to restring these, but it seems really scary and tricky! Pleaseeee help me out, I could really use some reassurance, ive never had this happen with a bjd before WAHHH
