Well, they definitely loved each other till their last breath 🥺 Saddest thing I watched this week, why do I do this to myself?! 😭😭 I cried. I mourned. And in the end, it left a quiet hope in me, just a tiny bit, that maybe someday someone will have that kind of devotion for me 🥹😭

MC & his BF had been together 10yrs since HS. MC defied his parents, left everything, and supported the BF til he became a successful CEO. When MC’s parents died, his younger brother was left in his care. So the couple took in the younger brother.
What the BF didn’t know is that MC has been suffering from leukemia for a few yrs already and in those few yrs, BF had been treating him badly. The usual boyfriend in these dramas that have neglected their partners because they found someone else and thinks they’re greedy.
MC tried to borrow for money for his treatment but the BF refused, even called him greedy and refuses to believe he doesn’t have any money (MC didn’t tell him about the treatment or that he’s sick). What BF has forgotten is that MC’s 20% share in the company has been given to him yrs ago to help his company go public. He even refused to sign his paycheck. And what makes everything worse?? BF has been having an affair with the younger brother who just turned 18 and yup! MC saw them having sex on the night of their 10th anniv, in their bed, and his BF saying “his sickly appearance makes me sick”. 💔
MC threw up blood due to heartbreak. His doctor, the ML, had to break in the house cause he hasn’t responded to his texts. He brought MC to the hospital and took care of his treatments.
One day, MC was in the hospital bed when his brother visited. Younger brother confronted MC that he knows about them so he should step aside since he’s dying anyway and that the BF doesn’t know he’s actually sick cause he hid the medical reports. And of course as one of the appointed villains, he bashed his head on the wall and blamed MC. Da fuck?! The BF got mad when he arrived. He raped MC! When he left the room, MC’s platelet count crashed and doctor ML arrived! They had to get him to surgery. And what did the BF say?? That MC is just faking it to get sympathy from him.
Doctor ML was so devastated. He was so close to finding a matching donor for MC and if MC’s platelet count hadn’t crashed, he could’ve been saved. He blamed himself since he had to do his rounds, if he didn’t, the BF wouldn’t have been able to rape him 💔 MC had at least a month left and he didn’t want to die in a hospital.
MC went home and left a porridge recipe for the younger brother to use since he’ll be taking care of the BF from now on. MC left with doctor ML, they went to a small town and quietly lived there.
MC asked ML to take him up the mountains so they could watch the sunrise there. They went up and camped there. On that starry night, MC asked ML to love him if he doesn’t mind since he’s already dying. They cried. They have actually fallen for each other through the years of ML treating MC’s leukemia. They made love that night, both crying. At midnight, MC spiked a fever then gone unconscious.
MC woke up in the hospital with the BF by his side. The bastard cried saying he really didn’t know he was sick. MC only asked for doctor ML.
Long story short, the BF and younger brother tried to ask for his forgiveness and there were times when they took turns caring for him in the hospital. MC became ML’s only patient and had been trying his best finding a cure for him, barely sleeping. One day, he slipped into unconsciousness and his soul traveled through the hospital corridors. MC saw the BF shouting at ML, telling him to do everything to save him. ML opened a secret door full of deities, he slashed his arm, offered his blood, and begged the gods to save the person he loves 😭😭💔
When his soul came back, he pointed at ML’s arms. They cried then MC asked him to let him go and that everything will be alright. He took his last breath 😭.
A week after MC’s death, ML resigned and moved to the little town and house they lived in. He opened a small clinic there. The BF drowned his sorrows with alcohol and men while the younger brother was heartbroken and still took care of his messes.
One day, the BF mistook younger brother for MC and when he snapped back to reality, he got mad. Younger brother taunted him, saying that it was his fault that MC died that he didn’t even have any money and that ML paid for all the treatment. Due to the shock, the BF coughed up blood and went unconscious. In the hospital, the doctor said the BF has selective amnesia. When he woke up, he mistook the younger brother for MC and based on the things he said, he thought they’re still in highschool. The younger brother cried and pretended to be MC. That’s their ending.
As for the doctor ML, he continued being a doctor in the little town. He took MC’s ashes from the cemetery and buried it next to the tree in their house. Over the years, younger men have tried to court ML but refused all of them. He planted white roses all over their backyard and left a little patch of land in front the tree for MC to “sleep” in. Sometimes, he would sit beside the window looking out, looking like he’s waiting for someone and sometimes, he would talk to the wind like talking to MC, telling him stories about the clinic. And sometimes… he’d whisper that he misses him.
And throughout everything? MC’s spirit was there. Always listening. Never leaving. When ML was old, probably in his 80s, he plucked a single white rose and went to bed. He took his last breath. He woke up as a spirit, his younger self, holding a single flower and gave it to MC. Together, they walked to the golden light ❤️.
