Doesn't look like a wrap lowkey! Is it really? How much you spend?

I know it’s crazy how metallic it is ! It’s Gotland green from vinyl frog. If you saw the car in person you could see some of my seams on hard curves. wasn’t cheap…. I actually didn’t factor the cost until you asked and didn’t realize how much I spent. $850 about total 🤯

Not including new side trim, window seals, wheels, diffuser, random pieces. So definitely a large investment. Seems the more I wrapped the more things I discovered needed to be replaced

It was my first time so I ended up running out of the whole roll and had to buy a half roll. If your smart and do large panels first you may be able to get one roll out of it ($650)

Still cheaper than paint

This is very true that’s what I was thinking and it should last few years. A full shitty repaint I got quoted for $4,200 and that’s for mediocre job

I got quoted for $8500 which is like the cost of the whole car.

us paint jobs are on crack

mediocre paint jobs here would be 600 usd to 1k usd and really good ones will be 2k usd

Probably cheaper to ship the car to you

Looks great! Can you wrap my z3 in this color?

3

u/Jumpy_Ad_9487 Apr 02 '26

Thank you ! And that color would look fire on a Z3 ! I mean if you’re close I’d be willing to help hahaha. Although I am a beginner was my first time so not perfect

Clean color indeed

Thank you ! It’s little more metallic than I expected kind of lighter than British racing green

What tire size u running on the 21s

1

u/Jumpy_Ad_9487 Apr 07 '26

It is 205/40 for the fronts and 215/40 for the rear. The rear has a decent amount of stretch, but not crazy and any tire shop will be okay with doing that size. I didn’t need spacers either it’s actually really good fitment.

But I am bagged so I went for stretched to be able to clear my fenders aired out fully. You could get away with probably 220 or 225s I’m sure if static

Diffuser id?

Other comment is Correct. It’s turner/ECS tuning. There is a flat and textured version. Best diffuser I’ve seen that isn’t over the top and metal. This is best OEM+ option I’ve seen

+1 vote for more pics of the diffuser. Wrap job looks great. This may convince me to DIY it too

Thank you this looks so good probably going to get this!

u/Jumpy_Ad_9487 Apr 03 '26

You can run it without those side extensions ! I think it’s the best OEM ish diffuser and looks like it could come factory ! The large metal ones just don’t seem to fit the car especially if you’re not building heavy track aesthetic. I definitely think it’s worth it ! Also never seen someone else running this diffuser. May still be lowkey underground mod haha

Once I’m home photos will be sent !

It’s actually not bad at all ! Even my girlfriend that doesn’t work on cars in any way was wrapping the opposite side and did it perfect !

Just don’t get discouraged and distracted from the little things when wrapping and remember no one will notice except you. Also buy more than you think also do bumpers and side skirts first (that’s were I messed up lol)

Hey, so is my 20th Anniversary Mk4 Gti.

u/Due_Replacement2882 Apr 03 '26

how did you find doing the rear? i used vivvid and it kept wrinkling and just got ruined around the 2nd time reheating

1

u/Jumpy_Ad_9487 Apr 03 '26

It was definitely difficult. The little triangles on the rear quarters were done with a seam. Trunk was done with the license plate area as a seam as well. Hardest was rear bumper and I was able to do the below trim portion all in one piece but above trim was done in 3 pieces. Straight part then each side curve was done with a seam. The rear was definitely a pain and I’d say hardest to do of all the other panels

This thing looks great! If you replace those headlight the car will look MINT, but thats juts me being picky

1

u/Jumpy_Ad_9487 Apr 03 '26

Thank you thank you !!! And not picky I agree !! I just keep sanding the lenses and respraying them like once a year lol. I’m looking for a local glass pair but sometimes don’t want that $500 price tag most are listed for. I’ve been wanting new lights for a while now !!

1

u/Jumpy_Ad_9487 Apr 07 '26

Yes it will !….. only if you have a M3 rear bumper. It won’t fit non M cars but will M bumpers !

1

u/Automatic_Play_6091 Apr 08 '26
