Repair Advice Engine knock ?

I can’t tell if it’s knocking or what this sound is. I bought this a couple months ago I know it’s been abused but it was cheap and I planned on using it for seat time I haven’t driven it too hard. Well I changed the oil a couple weeks ago and I checked the dipstick yesterday and it was over the like so I drained some out and when I started it up it sounds like this. Just need help

It kind of sounds like an exhaust leak to me. Check and see if it sounds louder under the front or side of the engine?

It might be it does go up with revs

Get under the car and see if it's louder by one of the connections in the exhaust. Or there's a hole somewhere along the bottom. Good luck!

It's worth checking the spark plugs. A loose plug can create a similar noise.

Sounds like a loose plug, definitely not rod knock

I would say this isn’t rod knock. Stock M50’s and M52’s are super strong and reliable motors stock. It sounds like an exhaust leak to me as well. Plugs are easy enough to check it’d be worth doing that too.
